Grand Trunk Western 4932 leaves its yard limits and passes over Milwaukee Junction in Detroit, MI. The old GP9 still has on the “Torpedo Tube” air tanks on the roof in January of 1990.

Seldom seen in colour the experimental GT 3 was a 2750 hp gas turbine 4-6-0 based on steam design built at Vulcan Foundry by EE and worked trials on the north section of the WCML and on the GC where it is seen here near Aylesbury in 1961. As far as i can ascertain it was quite successful but BR were not interested enough to make it a viable proposition so it went back to the manufacturers and was broken up around 1966,,,another type that if preserved would have been a top attraction...according to Roger Harris excellent series of books covering the BR diesels and electrics the loco if acquired by BR was to have carried the number 19000 and be named Lord of the Isles!..The pannier tank fireman looks on in astonishment.

Shown pulling out of a parking space at the local Cars & Coffee event.
The ‘honeycomb’ pattern within the grille indicates a 1965 model.
This one exhibits the indications of the ‘GT’ option including the fog lights within the grille, the GT style emblem on the front fender aft of the wheel well and the individual block letter pieces that spell out MUSTANG below that GT emblem.
A stunning 1973 MG B GT chrome bumper ..Having covered just over 30,000 Miles (48,000 KM) from new.

During Durand Railroad days in 1989, the tail end of an eastbound freight passes by the depot. One of the big attractions of the event is the circus that can be seen just over the top of the caboose.
