Guilty as charged!

Right in front of my nose, huge buildings, occupied by hundreds of families.

Downtown San Paulo, Brazil.

Few blocks from the City Hall, the Stock Exchange, the Central Bank among so many other fundamental, worthy and basic institutions.

In just one of the buildings, 475 families occupies 27 unfinished floors.

Kids play and run.

Clotheslines on the outside of the building, without any protection from falling down and in front of the entire city.

Windows, with breathtaking views, of one of the biggest and most populated cities on the Planet, made of compensated wood or sticks, even at the 27th floor.

People that use strength and organization to impose their reality, to a society that doesn’t care to listen.

Guilty as charged!

GSPC

Thu Tran, Santa Clara CA - Systems Engineer- Sr.

Presenter: Juan Fontanes/Shin Takahashi

Applicable Criteria: Innovation and Customer Relationship

Reason Selected: Thu contributed his technical expertise to an effort to integrate DELL switches with NEC SDN Controllers to provide joint SDN solutions. In order to realize this strategic alliance, interoperability and quality issues had to be resolved. Thu, working with the DELL and NEC Japan engineering teams, provided great technical suggestions and resolved several technical issues that resulted in a viable solutions. He personally tested 12 DELL switch models and worked through several nights with both DELL and NEC engineering teams to complete development on schedule.

As a result, DELL won its first joint customer sale (Cornell University). Thu earned the respect and trust of DELL, further strengthening our overall relationship with the customer. This has also led to NECAM winning our first SDN+UC solution contract through our sales channel, which his contributions were valued throughout the design proposal phase.
