A medium-sized nectar feeder endemic to New Zealand. Note yellowish-green plumage, blackish wings and tail, and red eyes. Male has purple tints on his head. Female browner, with a bluish gloss on the head. Juveniles show a clear yellowish cheek stripe. Widespread in the North and South Islands of New Zealand. Favors native and exotic forest, scrub, and urban parks and gardens. Listen for its melodious song consisting of a series of tuneful notes. Alarm call is a harsh, rapidly repeated “yeng.” Distinguished from European Greenfinch by lack of a pale, conical bill and larger size. Listen for lack of grunts, wheezes, and clicks to distinguish song from that of Tui. (eBird)

Frequently heard and seen, this fast-moving bird did not really like cameras, so I was very happy to catch this one enjoying the afternoon sunshine.

The Chiloé Wigeon (Mareca sibilatrix), also known as the southern wigeon, is a colorful dabbling duck native to the southern parts of South America. It is named after the Chiloé Archipelago off the coast of Chile, one of its primary habitats.
Key Characteristics
Distinctive Plumage:
It has an iridescent green-blue cap on the back of its head, contrasting with a white forehead and cheeks. Its flanks are a noticeable orange-brown (rust) color, and its breast features black and white barring.
"The Whistler":
Its scientific name, sibilatrix, means "whistler," referring to the male’s distinctive melodious three-syllable whistle. The female's call is a lower-pitched grunt or growl.
Subtle Dimorphism:
Unlike many other duck species, males and females look very similar, though males are generally larger with slightly brighter colors and more iridescence.
Distribution and Habitat
Native Range:
Indigenous to Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, and the Falkland Islands, with some populations migrating to southeastern Brazil for the winter.
Preferred Habitat:
They frequent freshwater lakes, marshes, shallow lagoons, and slow-flowing rivers rich in aquatic vegetation.
Behavior and Life Cycle
Diet:
Primarily vegetarian, they feed on aquatic plants, grasses, and occasionally algae by dabbling or grazing on land.
Social Nature:
These are highly sociable birds, often seen in pairs or small groups. They are popular in wildfowl collections worldwide due to their charming "head-bobbing" displays and frequent chattering.
Breeding:
They are monogamous and often form long-term pair bonds. Unusually for ducks, the male helps raise the young, though only the female incubates the typical clutch of 5–10 eggs.
A Swords of Sanghelios Grunt and Halo 5 Arbiter.
I have to say I was a little disappointed in the Halo 5 campaign, but I did like Arbiter's design, and Arbiter being my favorite character in all of gaming I figured I'd make him.
The base designs for these figures were not designed by me, but they were edited by me. I'm not sure who orginally did the designs I mentioned, but Elite credit may go to TRSLegofan?

The booby's head and upper body (back) is covered in dark brown to blackish plumage, with the remainder (belly) being a contrasting white. The bare-part colours vary geographically, but not seasonally. The species also displays sexual dimorphism of the bare part colours, the males having a blue orbital ring, as opposed to the yellow orbital ring of the female.
Female boobies reach about 80 centimetres (31 in) in length; their wingspans measure up to 150 cm (4.9 ft), and they can weigh up to 1,300 g (2.9 lb). Male boobies reach about 75 centimetres (30 in) in length; their wingspans measure up to 140 cm (4.6 ft), and they can weigh up to 1,000 g (2.2 lb).
Unlike other species of sulid, the juvenile plumage already resembles that of the adult. They are grey-brown with darkening on the head, upper surfaces of the wings and tail, while the lower breast and underpart plumages are heavily flecked brown on white.
Their beaks are quite sharp and contain jagged edges. They have fairly short wings resulting in a fast flap rate, but long, tapered tails. While these birds are typically silent, they occasionally make grunting or quacking sounds.

The Common Goldeneye (Bucephala clangula) courtship display is a dramatic,, winter-to-spring ritual where males (drakes) exhibit complex, choreographed, and energetic behaviors to impress females. The most iconic move is the "head-throw," where the male snaps his head back to touch his tail/rump before whipping it forward, accompanied by a loud call and a kick of water.

The Syrian Hama is well known for its huge water wheels on the bank of the river Orontes. They lift the water up to aqueducts to transport it to the fields.
The arabic word "Naura" for them means "The grunting one" due to the noise of its the wooden axis. The water wheels date back to late Roman times.

An enormous, grayish owl with dark stripes framing the face. It has a pale,-horn-colored beak and large, dark eyes that are set off by weird and diagnostic fleshy-pink eyelids. Occurs from arid savanna to mesic woodland to riverine forest; prefers areas with some tall trees for breeding and roosting. Hunts medium-sized mammals; has been known to kill competitors, such as Pel’s Fishing-Owl. Its call, a deep guttural grunting “unngh-unngh”, is diagnostic. (eBird)
