Paul was the undisputed king of the café corner. Every morning, he flopped onto the sidewalk, mastering the art of looking dramatically exhausted.
Passersby admired his dedication to laziness. Some took photos, others sighed, envious of his carefree existence. A waiter dropped a croissant crumb nearby. Paul considered moving—then decided against it. Too much effort.
With a deep, world-weary sigh, he embraced his destiny: to be the ultimate café philosopher, contemplating life… one nap at a time.
This Schnauzer was sitting with his owner outside the pharmacy we use. We already had our cameras in the car so we asked if we could take a few photos of him. The owner said yes, and here's one of them. He looks rather grumpy, but in actual fact, he's a very sweet dog.
There is not only a grumpy cat in this world...

The only good part of Covid-19 is now all of these terraces in the streets, which reminds us a lot of Paris. And most importantly, we can bring the pups!
As you can see, Blue was a bit grumpy ;). It was slightly raining, that's why! He's like his mommy, not fun until he's had his cup of coffee!
Not sure what's up with Tug... he just looks kinda grumpy today... wonder if dogs have 'off days' just like their owners do?

Week 18 of 52 weeks for dogs and it is one of our group occasional challenges - pop culture. When I saw it I groaned inwardly, no imagination means I struggle with this type of assignment. I had no idea what to do so browsed the internet for inspiration - as soon as I saw a Blues Brothers poster I knew I had to do it. One of my favourite shows and I even have the hat! Had to borrow Clive's sunglasses.
As this features both my dogs I am just doing one photo this week. My brain cannot possibly come up with a different idea for Ashley, lol.
Set up and processing.
Two separate shots of Ashley & Taivas who both cooperated with grumpy faces. Created a white layer in Gimp and opened each photo as a layer. Added an alpha layer and erased the background from each one and blended using multiply. Added the blocks of colour for the text on three new transparent layers. Then added the text in MS Digital Image.
In West Vancouver there is a dog walk so dogs can walk freely without being on a leash. It runs beside the railway tracks and is separated from the sea walkway by a mesh fence. These two dogs looked awfully grumpy to me as I think they wanted to be with their master or mistress on the paved walk.
Sigh. He won't stay at the house by himself. Epic fit.

Bruiser follows the dog around all day & loves to hang out with her, but I think Keesha wasn't into it today.

This is the look I got when I stopped throwing pebbles in the water :) She looked so sad, I threw some more :)
Sophie's wrinkly face often makes her look a little "blue" even though she's one of the goofiest dogs I know.
Like every girl, there are days when I am just in a bad mood... Everyone annoys me, I growl when my friends come too close to me, show my teeth when they want to play and take my toy, whine when my mummy takes too much time to get the leash, and so on. So what, nobody's perfect!!
Comme toute fille, il y a des jours où je suis de mauvaise humeur ... Tout le monde m'énerve, je grogne quand mes copains s'approchent trop près de moi, montre mes dents quand ils veulent jouer et prendre mon joujou, pleurniche quand ma maman mets trop de temps à prendre la laisse, et ainsi de suite. Et alors, personne n'est parfait !!
