Tracey Allyn Greene LOVES pets! In fact she regularly takes care of stray cats who live near Lowe Mill and constantly gives gifts to the dozen plus dogs that come to work with their artist owners here. That said, it was a no-brainer that she would participate in this project and do a great job. Check out the details on the stone-cold Grumpy Cat painted rock she created!

Painter Lenore Corey makes deeply personal works that evoke personal diary entries and private thoughts. How fitting that she is the one artist of our group to imagine the emotional inner monologue of Tardar Sauce.
Jeannie Vereen had no clue who Grumpy Cat was before creating her artwork, but as she entered the long process of patiently hand-hooking a small rug in honor of the cat she naturally became curious. The labor of love made her fall for the animal and before long she knew everything about Tardar Sauce, looking far deeper than the critter’s superficial status as an online meme. That level of care shows in every stich of Jeannie’s work!
