I saw the stage being set up as I was on the way to work on the train in the morning, rushed down after work just to shoot all these!
It was a rewarding experience! At first, I was afraid that the performers would be unfriendly to photographers but instead, when I asked if I could take some pictures, they invited me up the back stage to capture all these lovely moments.
This Chinese Opera Troupe is made up of a few old ladies. There were kind enough to allow me to shoot despite the busy movements in the backstage.
The sweet old ladies even bought me ice cream as a treat as I was shooting & gave me plenty of sweets! Such awesome hospitality! I was shocked!
I spoke to one of them, Chinese Opera is a dying art in modern Singapore, as the younger generation like myself are not keen on it as an art. They only earned SGD40 per day but there were no complains because to these old folks, they love being on stage entertaining the crowd & it was a hobby to them.
To them, they are just performers whom entertain old folks in the audience. To me, they are artists. Performing a slowly dying art in Singapore that would be lost should no younger generations pick this up. I hope by taking these pictures, I can share the art form of Chinese Opera which is an ancient art.
Cheers & I hope you guys enjoy these pictures.

Today at the April 3rd Peace Park in Jeju City, the island commemorated 66 years since the breakout of the Jeju Massacre (known as 4.3 in Korean). It is one of the deadliest armed conflicts in Korea’s modern history.
During the Jeju Massacre beginning on April 3, 1948 and continuing until 1954, an estimated 30,000 Jeju residents were killed, mostly by South Korean forces, due to the worry that Jeju Island had become home to a growing number of Communists and sympathizers for the newly formed North Korea.
After the massacre, all public discussion about it was censored. Anyone who mentioned the event was considered a Communist and punishment ran from being shunned by their community to being imprisoned and tortured.
It was only until the 1990s, after Korea became a democracy, that the people of Jeju fought for the event to be publicly recognized. In 2000 the Korean government decreed a Special Act to uncover the truth of what happened during this violent seven years.
Nine years ago, then South Korean President Roh Moo Hyun visited Jeju and apologized to the island’s citizens for the government’s involvement in the massacre.
LCC’s Concert Choir performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City in May 2015.
Performed was Vivaldi’s Gloria, a setting of the traditional Latin Mass written around 1715, along with parts of Requiem Masses by Mozart and Faure. The choirs also sang a section from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Requiem in memory of the late LCC instructor Richard Kelley.
The trip was a highlight for participants, which included students, community members and choir instructor Gina Challed. LCC’s Hanson Endowment provided funding for the 24 LCC students who participated, although additional fundraising was needed.
In addition to performing, the group toured some highlights of New York City, including Times Square and the Statue of Liberty!

Maude and her plaything kind of girlfriend person she does not kill right away aka Prudence.
Pru wears what she wears to try and hide that she's actually on the muscular C-Line boy body (nice muscles I might add). I should really get the poor girl some boobtastic body OTL
