Isa: “La Clásica 1º de Mayo ya es patrimonio del pueblo de Salta”
Esta mañana, en el Centro Cívico Municipal, el intendente Miguel Isa encabezó el lanzamiento de la 82º edición de la Clásica 1º de Mayo. “Este certamen ya es patrimonio del pueblo salteño. Año a año cientos de ciclistas de todo el mundo se reúnen en Salta para formar parte de uno de los circuitos más importantes del país, la Clásica 1º de Mayo”, aseguró el intendente.
Durante la conferencia, el organizador del evento, Osvaldo Postigo, informó que “este año incluiremos la categoría femenina en la competencia. Ya se inscribieron más de 60 chicas de diferentes partes de la ciudad y la provincia. Además, contaremos con la participación de grandes figuras del ciclismo internacional”.
Desde la próxima semana empezarán a arribar a la ciudad corredores de España, Italia, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia y de diferentes provincias argentinas.
“Cada primero de mayo, además de compartir una gran jornada deportiva en familia, la ciudad de Salta se muestra al mundo. Esta competencia nos permitió promocionar las maravillas que ofrece el Valle de Lerma en diferentes puntos del país y el mundo”, añadió el jefe comunal.
Este año la competencia será televisada a nivel nacional e internacional. Se estima que participarán más de 120 ciclistas en la categoría elite. El día anterior está previsto que todos ellos participen de la cuarta edición de la Clásica Norma Doric en Chachapoyas, un evento que también es organizado por la familia Postigo en reconocimiento al trabajo de Doric y su familia por el ciclismo local.
El intendente informó que el equipo de obreros de la Secretaría de Obras Públicas trabaja en el acondicionamiento de las calles que forman parte de la Clásica. “Estamos ejecutando tareas de bacheo con concreto asfáltico y emulsión asfáltica, sellado de juntas, y nivelación de las calzadas. Trabajamos codo a codo con los organizadores para que el día de la competencia el circuito se encuentre en perfectas condiciones”, precisó.
El trazado de la carrera comprende 25 kilómetros, siendo el recorrido clásico por avenida Uruguay (frente al monumento a Martín Miguel de Güemes), siguiendo por avenida Reyes Católicos. De allí los pedalistas continúan por avenida Ricardo Patrón Costas, avenida Bolivia y avenida Arenales. Luego, el recorrido continúa por Diez Gómez hasta 12 de Octubre y Circunvalación. El recorrido prosigue por Coronel Suárez, Luis Patrón Costas, Luis Burela, Zacarías Yanci, (donde se recorren 200 metros en sentido contrario, es decir, de norte a sur), hasta llegar a Juan de Dios Usandivaras.
La carrera continúa por Coronel Vidt hasta Ayacucho, (donde nuevamente se recorrerán 100 metros en sentido contrario), hasta retomar la avenida Reino de Bélgica. Luego prosiguen por Virgilio Tedín, Los Lanceros y avenida Independencia. De allí toman por avenida Hipólito Irigoyen, recorren la rotonda de la Terminal, luego Victorino de la Plaza, pasaje San Martín, Manuel Boedo, J. Tobías y avenida Gurruchaga.

Kuala Lumpur, 12/04/2012 - Saya hari ini merasmikan Menara 1 Bukit Aman, bangunan baru ibu pejabat Polis Diraja Malaysia yang disifatkan sebagai satu lambang modenisasi dan transformasi PDRM.
Menara 1 Bukit Aman yang berharga RM320 juta, adalah pusat pentadbiran PDRM, menggantikan bangunan lama terletak berdekatan.
Pejabat Ketua Polis Negara dan Timbalan Ketua Polis Negara serta Jabatan Keselamatan Dalam Negeri dan Ketenteraman Awam yang sebelum ini berkongsi bangunan dengan Cawangan Khas di Kompleks 3, dipindahkan ke Menara 1.
Jabatan Pengurusan, Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah dan Jabatan Siasatan Narkotik masih kekal di Menara 2 serta Cawangan Khas di Kompleks 3 Bukit Aman.
Ketibaan Saya dan isteri, di pekarangan Bukit Aman di sini pada jam 9.30 pagi, disambut Menteri Dalam Negeri, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein; Ketua Polis Negara, Tan Sri Ismail Omar; Timbalan Ketua Polis Negara, Datuk Seri Khalid Abu Bakar serta pegawai kanan polis.
Turut hadir Menteri Kesihatan, Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai; Timbalan Menteri Dalam Negeri, Datuk Wira Abu Seman Yusuf; Ketua Setiausaha Kementerian Dalam Negeri, Tan Sri Mahmood Adam dan Panglima Angkatan Tentera Jeneral Tan Sri Zulkifeli Mohd Zin.
Menara 1 Bukit Aman mula dibina pada 3 Mac 2005 di tapak tempat meletak kenderaan Bukit Aman.
Jabatan Kerja Raya bertanggungjawab mereka bentuk bangunan menara setinggi 31 tingkat itu dengan keluasan lantai 85,000 meter persegi.

A huge crowd turned out for the switching on of Limerick Christmas Lights on Bedford Row in the city.
Christmas was magically unwrapped in Limerick with the most enchanting ever switching on of the city’s festive lights to a captivated crowd in the city centre.
Children and parents from across the city, neighbouring counties and even up the West coast and Dublin watched on in wonder at the unfolding launch of the ‘Christmas in Limerick’ spectacular.
The show capped a year of stunning theatre and performance across Limerick and was put on by Big House Productions, who were also project directors of the biggest street carnival in Ireland this year – the September hosting of the Royal de Luxe extravaganza that attracted 250,000 people to Limerick to see the 25ft tall Granny in the high point of celebrations for its National City of Culture status.
The thousands who turned up today expecting more of the same were not disappointed as among the highlights of the 45 minute performance was the opening of a Christmas Card to the people of the city and county from Limerick’s favourite Granny herself.

Dried-fish production has got a huge thrust as the winter is approaching in the region as well as the whole country. Thousands of labourers are passing busy times at the processing zones here to produce dried fishes which have remarkable demand among the people of Bangladesh and the foreigners. The dried-fish processing activity generally runs from October to May every year. While visiting Najirartek, Kutubdiapara near of Cox's Bazar town as well over hundred of villages, dried fishes were found to be produced at more than 50 dried-fish processing zones. Directly or indirectly about 15,000 labourers work at the Najirartek dried-fish processing zones, most of whom are females. Najirartek in Cox's Bazar is famous throughout the world as a hub of dried fish. Dried fishes produced here are being exported to other countries thus increasing the revenue of the government. I think this was during a friend’s birthday. Andre’s, maybe? With my hair that colour it’s hard to track the time. I remember a girl taking my glasses that night and saying to come get them. It was seductive and while I was tempted I couldn’t muster the courage to do anything. I never got them back.
