My hubby's birthday cake. Made it to replicate a beautiful grouper he caught earlier this year.

Loved people's reaction to it - it was sitting in the middle of the table surrounded by other food, and with real fish being cooked in the kitchen and fish smell wafting through to the dining room everybody was sure we were about to start grilling this grouper. The only question people asked was - Why do you need the rock,is it a part of the table arrangement? :)))))))))

Used these beautiful photos to try get the details right:

Group

at Ham Polo Club Fishers Gin Evening Polo held at Ham Polo Club in Richmond, Surrey.

A church group carries baloons along the sea wall beach for a special celebration, while a large tanker, the Tradewind Passion (IMO number: 9483619) makes its way into port. Easter Sunday, Kingston, Georgetown, Guyana, South America. One of the group who happened to recognize me told me that prayers are placed in the baloons, which are then released.

On another note, this beach can sorely do with some cleaning up. Any volunteers?

The engine is a 351 Cleveland stroked to 383 by Kuntz & Company in Arkansas. They hold numerous NHRA national records, many with Cleveland engines. Quite a lot has been done to the engine both cosmetically and performance-wise. It has just slightly over 520 horsepower and over 510 lbs of torque, balanced & blueprinted, with a compression ratio of just over 10.5 to 1. Kuntz & Company installed a high performance and very rare SVO stud girdle through the valve covers, a custom windage tray with scraper, Crane roller rockers, Crower 3/8" push rods, stainless steel valves, ported and polished S.V.O. A-3 aluminum heads. Jack Rousch, the famed race engine builder in Michigan, provided the polished aluminum intake manifold. It has a 3.75" stroker crank, Child & Alberts 6" rods, Venolia pistons, APR studs & bolts, and MSD ignition with 6300 rev-limiter chip. The cam is a solid lifter cam by Competition Cams, and has a gross lift of .562 on the intakes and .556 on the exhaust. Other goodies include a Carb Shop Holley 750 cfm four barrel with vacuum secondaries flowed to 870 cfm, 10 qt. oil pan with trap doors, and Jet Hot coated GT5 Headers. The ZF transmission and related parts are all highly polished, and the internals have 4:22 to 1 gearing, with the ring gear safety wired. The clutch is a Kevlar clutch. It has chromed Spicer half shafts and all the lines throughout the car are steel braded.

I ain't going to win no awards for this photo. It probably would have helped if I had bothered to focus the camera, but hay, I used f8 on the lens so nothing else matters.

Strobist info: Three ETTL II flashes on the floor pointing up across the top of the camera which was lying on it's back. All automatic metering triggered with an STE II trigger.

Real photo postcard with an unused back. Probably the funniest thing about this one is the serious look on the face of the man with a gun to his head. Found in WI.

My current Haunted Colletion :p

I'll probably try to have Draculaura & Clawdeen later this month to complete the set

I want Rochelle and Spectra so bad, they are just divine, but they aren't out yet so I have to wait and by Ula-D & Clawdeen first ^^

I'm so glad I've been able to have them before Christmas :D I soooooo wanted Porter and Vandala, and look, I have the whole Student Spirits Set !!! I'm just in love with them, even more than I was expecting, but look at them, they so great

I love ghost, I can't deny it, I also love Werewolf but... Actually I'm not a big fan of Clawdeen soooooo.... Anyways, Sorry if my descriptions are weird and pointless, I'm sick (bad cold) and I don't think straight XD
