Today our friends John, Bob & Leighton have spent today moving the spoil we have saved during our rebuild and placed it around the back of the property, raising the ground level by a metre. For the first time we have been able to get an idea what it will be like when the landscaping is complete & how nice is it not to have so many steps to climb & descend.

Ignore flickr's geotagging, this is nowhere near Central Valley Mobile Home Park, it's the Interurban Trail in Pacific, Washington, where a new extension will run the trail south into Pierce County.

In an effort to contribute something meaningful based on our skill set, The Creative Strategy Group set up a one-day design sprint with Groundwork Opportunities (GO), an organization aimed at eliminating poverty from the ground up by investing in local leaders across the world.

The team met with co-founders - Bart and Jenny - to go over their website and messaging; the final goal was a more strategic and streamlined experience highlighting local leaders from around the world and the wonderful things GO does. Final deliverables included a strategic site map to help get their message out more effectively, wireframes for layouts, simplifying and focusing their messaging to be more impactful, and design ideas. We are hoping to work with this wonderful organization in the future – encouraging them to expand their already substantial impact.

Thank you to everyone who made Groundwork Lawrence's Earth Day a huge success!

Schools, sponsors, organizations, and businesses that participated made a big contribution to raising awareness about the importance of protecting our planet. You are the true environmental heroes!

Keep in mind that real change comes from small daily actions that add up to a big impact.

See you next year!
