Perhaps counter-intuitively, most people seemed more relaxed
because their were two nutters on the loose with cameras than
they might have been confronted by just one.
I have quite a few more photos that belong in this series.

Griff Hollows is an idyllic little place hidden away right next to a main road and suburban houses on the edge of Nuneaton. The natural wooded hollow with a brook running through it is full of native bluebells in springtime. The novelist George Eliot grew up near here and it appears in 'The Mill on the Floss' as 'Red Deeps' where the characters Maggie and Philip meet in secret.
Commissioned by Brooke Hayward Duchin. I painted this using acrylic gouche on paper which we then pasted on closet doors. I believe it is now a standing folding screen.
Two fire engines, one antique, in a quaint little town I know-- so quaint, and so little in fact, that its name has been obscured to protect my privacy. :-) Sorry 'bout that. This picture also screamed HDR, so here it is.
Not sure exactly where this was taken but it's circa 1968-69 and it would have been my first band. I think we were about to break out Light My Fire. Or something.
