Barringtonia conoidea Griff. Lecythidaceae. CN: [Malay - Putat air, Putat napi]. Sparsely branching shrub or small tree to ca. 4 m tall. Habitat - tidal estuaries; common along west coast of Peninsular Malaysia. Used in Malay folk medicine to treat the inflamed gums, high blood pressure, eye inflammation and also asthma.

In honor of SSgt Travis L. Griffin, 28 who was killed April 3, 2008 in the Rasheed district of Baghdad by an IED strike to his vehicle. Travis is survived by his son Elijah.

As Griff put it, "Jonathan is the coolest kid in my class, he's the strongest wrestler." Funny, I never pictured Fonzie in a wrestling leotard.
In New York, you'll find whole stretches of retail space that go empty all at once. In midtown, there are at least two full blocks that are totally devoid of businesses-- mom and pop stores, gone. And yet, there rises the Trump building, and it's a safe bet it's not going anywhere.
