The Grévy's zebra (Equus grevyi), is the most threatened of the three species of zebra (the other two being the plains zebra and the mountain zebra). Named after Jules Grévy, the Grévy's zebra is found in Kenya and Ethiopia. Compared with other zebras, it is tall, has large ears, and its stripes are narrower.
The Braille Institute "History Of The Coachella Valley" class went on a field trip to The Living Desert today. I got to go along as a sighted guide.
GREVY’S ZEBRA
Equus grevyi
Grevy’s zebras are the largest of three zebra species. Each zebra has a unique stripe pattern, just like a human’s fingerprints!
HABITAT
Grevy’s zebras live in the semi-arid scrublands and grasslands of east Africa.
