Connect this to an amp that goes all the way to 11, imagine a speaker like the one in Back to the Future 1, thrash it in the style of Black Sabbath or Iron Maiden and that kinda goes a little way to illustrate the soundscape between my ears this morning.
And no, it’s not the demon drink, rather the after effects of too little sleep due to 3 GK’s sleepover...I say sleepover, more of a slight doze between screaming fits. The screams were mine btw, internalised at every breach of my unconscious state by one of the little ********** [expletive deleted]
I was fully woken in the wee hours by a child’s cranium pressed firmly into my kidneys. An hour later another of the ‘darlings’ announced her tooth had fallen out. I got out the pit at 6 having given up all hope of an uninterrupted kip.
Roll on my afternoon nap 💤

Kinetic Photograph made with one single long exposure shot, printed straight out of camera.
If you’d like to read more details about how the shot is made see below. And for more of my kinetic photographs here’s my set, "Drawing with Light"

Kinetic: Relating to, caused by, or producing motion.
These are called “Kinetic” photographs because there is motion, energy, and movement involved, specifically my and the camera’s movements.
I choose a light source and/or subject, set my camera for a long exposure (typically around 4 seconds), focus on my subject and push the shutter button. When the shutter opens I move the camera around with my hands...large, sweeping, dramatic movements. And then I will literally throw the camera several feet up into the air, most times imparting a spinning or whirling motion to it as I hurl it upward. I may throw the camera several times and also utilize hand-held motion several times in one photo. None of these are Photoshopped, layered, or a composite photo...what you see occurs in one shot, one take.
Aren’t I afraid that I will drop and break my camera? For regular followers of my photostream and this series you will know that I have already done so. This little camera has been dropped many times, and broken once when dropped on concrete outside. It still functions...not so well for regular photographs, but superbly for more kinetic work.

A shot I managed to grab while on a break from playing at last nights inaugural ukjazzradio.com blues evening. ukjazzradio.com is an internet radio station, broadcasting 24 hours a day, seven days a week, bringing high quality music from old school Dixieland to Modern Improv. Blues comes in along the way in a weekly show (on at various times) presented by yours truly called Blues is The Truth.
Macro Mondays - The oldest things I own. The oldest thing I can find.
I bought my 7 piece set of Gretsch drums in 1977. I have had them for 38 years. Last December I purchased a set of Sonor drums and really enjoy them as they are smaller and quicker to set up and tear down. I should sell my old set but have had them for so long that they are just a part of my family.
Nothing I have comes close to the age of these.
Happy Macro Mondays everyone. I missed posting yesterday. The first time in a long time..... I was away, and playing.
