Gregory was on Wabash, by the Hubbard Street Pedestrian Overpass. We approached him and he had a smile on his face. He lit up when we started talking. The first thing he said was that he was going to the City Colleges of Chicago and he showed us his lanyard with his picture on it. He's going to school to be a lawyer. "You are looking at the next Johnny Cochran!", he said. "I was in prison for 20 years for something I didn't do." Then he mentioned the disgraced Chicago Police Commander John Burge, accused of torturing suspects into giving confessions. He was one of those folks. He wasn't bitter, but he looked at my kids and said "stay away from trouble--if someone's trying to influence you in a bad way, just walk away!" Gregory has lived in the city his whole life and went to school here. Throughout our conversation he repeated said, "God will protect you".

Somewhere in between is the source of the River Eden. On the map Red Gill most likely provides the head waters. The view was improved by looking South towards the Three Peaks in Yorkshire.

During a waterways tour around Copenhagen in Denmark, I saw this guy on a waterside property balcony in Christianhavn, just chilling in his hammock, totally oblivious of all around him.

I really like this shot, both for the candid capture, and the scene and colours.

Gregory of Nin was a medieval Croatian bishop of Nin who strongly opposed the Pope and official circles of the Church and introduced the Croatian national language in the religious services after the Great Assembly in 926.

The statue over six meters tall was erected in September 1929 in the Peristyle of Diocletian's Palace and can be seen in postcards of the pre-World War II period. In 1941, the statue was moved outside the city by Italian occupying forces. In 1954, it was re-erected in a different location, to the north of the Palace and Old Town of Split, just outside the Golden Gate, where it currently sits.

Gregory was in a homeless camp underneath the Kennedy Expressway, near Belmont and Kedzie. He's been out here for two years. They have a nice encampment with well-insulated tents. They heat their tents with small camping heaters. "We like to keep it neat around here". They even have a porta potty that a gentleman donated to them and services every two days. Churches and other folks come by and donate food and other supplies. Everything donated they have in a common area in the middle of the camp. Everyone I spoke with was super nice. Gregory hurt his back years ago and isn't able to work. "There are good people in the world", he said.

Judbarra National Park, formerly Gregory National Park, is a national park in the Northern Territory (Australia), 359 km south of Darwin.

The park is the second largest national park in the Northern Territory, after Kakadu National Park, with an area of 13,000 km2 (1.3 million ha).[2] Ecologically, it is in the transition between tropical and semi-arid zones.[3]

nrhp # 04000763- The field stone steps are either single cut stones or multiple cut stones that together form a single

step. The top and downhill faces of the rock have been cut flat, with the rest of the stone embedded

in the ground. The stones are laid to take advantage of the natural terrain of the buttes, following the

relief of the slope. The name Leland Mclntyre and the date 1936 are carved in one of the larger

stones near the bottom of the steps.

The Gregory Buttes are on the western edge of town and form the western border of the city park.

The buttes are actually two buttes with a saddle like relief between them. There is a large water tank

on the northern butte and an observation area on the southern butte. The stone steps climb the

eastern edge of the buttes near the middle; they wind up the buttes taking advantage of the natural

topographic features of the buttes to reduce the steepness. This designed landscape takes

advantage of the natural contours of the slope. The steps run from east to west up the slope of the

buttes.

The Calvinist church in the tiny village of Csaroda has been built around 1240.

That the church hides some byzantine frescoes from the early 13th century under its white plastered walls and big floral folk art decorations, became only known in the 20th century.

During the reformation period those byzantine images have been plastered over and around 1642 the floral folk art had been painted on the walls. These decorations are again some ancient Hungarian folk motifs, called the "tree of life", full of heart-shaped leaves.

My dear friend, Nóri, who has left us two years ago, had been working on the restoration of these frescoes in the 70ies.

St Gregory's Minster is an Anglo-Saxon church with a rare sundial, in Kirkdale near Kirkbymoorside, Vale of Pickering, North Yorkshire, England. It is a Grade I listed building.

The minster was built c. 1060 on the site of an earlier church, and is dedicated to St Gregory, who was pope 590–604. Major modifications were completed in the 15th century and in the 1800s. The church was restored during 1907-1909.[1] The building is similar in style and age to that of St Hilda's, Ellerburn.
