The name of this beach has nothing to do with St Patrick's Day or the colour of the water. That's the result of the effects from the LomoChrome Purple film stock. The local seagulls enjoy having this section of the beach to themselves. That's the beauty of Tasmania's beaches in summer - they are never crowded.
Happy St Patrick's Day to all my Irish friends!
These are genuine film effects. No digital alterations were made here.
The sun broke through just in time.... after a cool and wet May there was lots of green on the prairie...

While we visit Alaska primarily for the brown bears, there are many other wild subjects around for photo ops. Came across this cute little squirrel on a rail on our way. It couldn't have cared less about our presence as it kept continuing to dine on it leafy sprig of greens. :-). You never know what you'll find ... except snakes ... Alaska is reportedly void of them. I can breath easy. ;-)
Happy Tuesday!

After spending a few days up here last summer and getting mainly blue, I was not content with my results. With the other three AC44s finally arriving on property, I decided to take a week and get up to the LS&I one more time in hopes to get more photos of the greens. The 7 Tilden this morning granted that wish. Eagle Mills Jct. 4/26/23
After a sumptuous dinner at the tavern of the Inn On the Coast of Portrush (pronounced port rush) on our first night there, Northern Ireland blessed us with this brilliant sunset. What you may perceive as Irish green is actually the greens of Ballyreagh Golf Course. Golf came after St. Patrick, though I believe he would have seen this as the sign it was. We would see the evidence of that over the coming days getting to know Irish friends Joyce and I had only known online before. Though St. Patrick is the Patron Saint of Ireland, he was not Irish. When he was a young boy in England, he was kidnapped and enslaved in Ireland. He would eventually escape enslavement as a shepherd, come to Christ, join the ranks of Christian clergy, and make his place in history. Ireland holds a special place in bringing Christianity to the world. It holds a special place for me, too. During one of our trips to the U.K., I got my results back from 23 & Me… I’m 99.9% Northwestern European, with 61.5% British & Irish. And right there I have an affinity with St, Patrick, the fact that the Irish have captured our hearts, notwithstanding. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
I love this area of the Sol Duc forest in the Olympic National Park. I thought I would showcase a part (my favorite!) of it in square format. Truth is, our long drought here in the Pacific Northwest has dried up many small creeks. I feel quite certain that the area above is nearly dry. Moss needs moisture to thrive. It makes me sad.
Rain, come back to us......
Some hidden canyons in Scotland are so green... while slowly walking through this one, I expected elves to appear again and again!
