We celebrated Earth Day at the Green Living Festival in Novato, where our Green Change team hosted a booth, took photos of people’s green pledges and gave a workshop on climate action.
Green Change director Fabrice Florin hosted our climate action workshop with young activist Lucy London and a dozen participants. We first talked about what led each of us to make a green change in our lives, then invited participants to take the climate challenge with us. We presented our top 10 recommended actions for going green, including using renewable energy, eating sustainably, driving clean vehicles and more.
We also talked about the Green Change Network and the various ways in which we help each other go green. People seemed to appreciate this fun, convivial conversation and this chance to connect with other like minds. We ended the workshop with a lovely song by Lucy and her friend Kelley Tillman. They both lead the Novato High Earth Club, where they combine art, music and activism -- and they have been wonderful partners for us.
It was inspiring to hear all the diverse actions that participants plan to take this year. It gave us hope that if everyone does their part, we can solve the global climate crisis together.
Many thanks to Gretchen Schubeck, Robert Gould and the City of Novato for hosting this event, as well as to our amazing Green Change team: Tom Flynn, Al Grumet, his son Gus and wife Sonia, Ilse Gonzalez, Kelly Horner, Marilyn Price and Silke Valentine. This was our team's first public event this season, and we were energized to meet so many people who were ready to go green with us. Change is coming.

We celebrated Earth Day at the Green Living Festival in Novato, where our Green Change team hosted a booth, took photos of participants and gave a workshop on climate action. Hundreds of people joined this free community event, which included music, talks and playful activities. Dozens of environmental groups had booths to help people learn practical ways to live a green and healthy life.
In our Green Change booth, we greeted visitors of all ages and backgrounds, inviting them to play a fun trivia game with questions about climate change and how we can fight it together. Dozens of people signed up for our climate action network, and we discussed partnerships with a number of other nonprofit groups at the event.
We also took photos of people who pledged to take climate action, asking them to write their pledge in big letters, hold up their sign and have their picture taken against our 6-foot earth globe. It was inspiring to see all the diverse actions that people plan to take this year: driving electric vehicles, eating less meat, walking more, using less plastic and dozens more. It gave us hope that if everyone does their part, we can solve the global climate crisis together.

At the end of the day, Green Change director Fabrice Florin hosted a climate action workshop with young activist Lucy London and a dozen participants.
This was our first public event this season, and we worked really well together. It was really inspiring for us to meet so many people who were ready to go green with us.

At the end of the day, Green Change director Fabrice Florin hosted a climate action workshop with young activist Lucy London and a dozen participants.
This was our first public event this season, and we worked really well together. It was really inspiring for us to meet so many people who were ready to go green with us.

At the end of the day, Green Change director Fabrice Florin hosted a climate action workshop with young activist Lucy London and a dozen participants.
This was our first public event this season, and we worked really well together. It was really inspiring for us to meet so many people who were ready to go green with us.

At the end of the day, Green Change director Fabrice Florin hosted a climate action workshop with young activist Lucy London and a dozen participants.

This was our first public event this season, and we worked really well together. It was really inspiring for us to meet so many people who were ready to go green with us. Change is coming.
