I tried to capture how beautiful this corn field looked in the twilight as I cycled past on Sunday night. Not sure the LX7 (or my skills) was really up to the job, but the LX7 still makes a great, light travel companion..

31414 passes Greenfield with 11:25 Liverpool Lime St - Newcastle.
31s were relatively rare on the north Trans-Pennine route.
View from the southern road of Gower peninsula, overlooking Bristol channel towards the north coast of Devon. Mind you that in 1956, Gower became the first area in the United Kingdom to be designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Had a very productive shoot last Sunday... The weather was just perfect!
Unfortunately, the tree-tops are 'aligned' with the horizon in this shot. I just couldn't find a better PoV... In the end, I'm pleased with the result.
the memorial on top of the hill here, above the Saddleworth villages, is referred to locally as Pots and Pans. although this name more likely refers to the large rocks scattered around on the hilltop.
The Remembrance Day service each November is held up there ... and it's a heck of a climb!
