I have no idea what this car is, apart from looking like a green version of the ZZ Top car from the 80s. Seen here at the 2016 Classic Car show in Scunthorpe town centre on the last day of April.

For Battle Green in the Iron Bento Group!

This was after the rain, after waiting for about 2 hours - but the best pictures are still to come :)

This morning, while riding the bicycle from home to office, something hit my eye and swiped it, thanks to good reflexes. Then noticed that it is a small green caterpillar, which had landed on my pants. It stayed on the pants for about 2km ride, enjoying the bumps and swings along.

Upon reaching office, released it to the garden at office. It did not want to part the pants, perhaps due to the trauma of dropping from its favorite tree. Had to woo it a lot to perch up on the leaf. Once on leaf, it was at home.

My green satin ball gown against the blue sky; a color combination to make me smile :-)

This never happens when I am actually in the car... :) Traffic signals on Wilshire Blvd all showing green at the same time. The green signals are all one block apart from each other. Also for scale, the building with the neon sign on top (upper left) is about 3/4 of a mile away.

This was kind of a quick job; I may go back and try this when the parked cars are gone and possibly from a little further up the hill. Or try and longer exposure to see if I can get some light trails while keeping the lights all one color.

A green bottle fly on a beauty berry leaf at Frenchman's Forest Natural area.

These are also know as a blow flies, blue bottle flies and carrion flies.. They are aggressive scavengers that very quickly arrive at the scene of freshly dead things and lay eggs that rapidly develop into voracious larvae. Various blow fly species do carry disease or are parasites but they are also important scavengers, pollinators, very useful in forensic entomology (remember Gil Grissom on CSI) and are used in maggot therapy (don't ask). The fly above was off duty and just frolicking in the morning sun :)

This green wildflower is a cousin of the Jack-in-the-Pulpit. Note the "dragon's" yellow tongue.
