I wanted to show a set of still shots that I took from the video I did in this green dress ( flic.kr/p/DZpKuW ). I like making videos as it gives me a better chance to show off my dress and how it moves, and it also helps me practice my feminine movements. Sometimes, some cute poses just come naturally to me, and I wanted to show some off here. I need to try some of these poses for better quality pictures.
I was much too far away when this male green kingfisher perched on a round chunk of concrete that was deposited in the river bed from a previous flood. Anyway I had to snap a picture. The water reflected the kingfisher but also the autumn leaves from nearby trees and blue from the sky.

This animal lives at Colchester Zoo in Essex.
The green tree skink is also known as the emerald tree skink.
Most individuals are bright lime green, though some may have brown or black speckling, especially on the hind limbs or lower body. Juveniles often start with a bronze or brown coloration, gradually turning green as they mature.
They typically measures 8.5 to 10 in. (18 to 25 cm) in total length, with the tail making up roughly two-thirds of its body. They have large black eyes rimmed with yellow, and small, visible small ear openings in between their snout and angular forelimbs. They have a thick body with a sharply tapered head, smooth round scales, and long toes with small claws for climbing. Males can be distinguished by a yellow base on the rear foot, which females lack.
Green tree skinks are native to Southeast Asia, including the Philippines, Indonesia, Taiwan, New Guinea, and the Solomon Islands, and are also found on smaller islands in the Indo-Australian archipelago.
They spend most of their time in the treetops, preferring bare tree trunks without climbing plants. They are frequently found in palm plantations in coastal areas or on small islands with minimal vegetation
These skinks are always on the move and are active climbers, using adhesive lamellae on their toes and long tails for balance. They are capable of autotomy, shedding their tail to escape predators such as birds of prey and snakes. The detached tail continues to move when dropped, which is thought to provide sufficient distraction for the skink to escape its predator.
Green tree skinks are primarily carnivorous, feeding on insects and other small invertebrates, though they may occasionally eat small amounts of fruit and leafy plants.
It is a species which lays eggs rather than bearing live young like most members of the skink family do. Clutches of between 9 and 14 eggs are laid which incubate for between 69 and 100 days before hatching. Their lifespan is 4 years in the wild and up to 12 years in captivity
It is a non-threatened species, however, it is becoming popular in the exotic pet trade.

Potion of Green! - Dining In The Foothills
The summer retreat this year was a much welcome one. The Kurumba Village Resort did not disappoint us. At the foothills of the Nilgiri range, the view is breathtaking - spotted some wildlife - elephants, bisons, deer, langur and birds. It paints quite a canvas. This particular view, from the dining area was quite a beautiful one too.

Not sure if this some kind of anemone or some type of coral but I shot it through glass and a mob of mothers and grandmothers swarming all over this magical corner in the aquarium at the Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks.
The last of two shots from that magical pack of 779 that expired in 1999.
This is an installation in hannover (sorry don´t know the artists name), famous object here for a photo (see the hannover pool for lots of versions) or check out this version from airatmo in the snow in b&w. The benches change the colour about every 20 seconds. Two green in a row is very rare ;-)
reminds me in some way of the natural "version" i took last summer ;-)
The Green Hermit was an interesting bird from our visit to Trinidad this month. The hermit name gives me the impression that this bird is shy. They typically perch in a concealed location and tend to get bullied at hummingbird feeders in my experience. However, there was at least one at the Asa Wright Nature Center that was anything but shy. It seemed to get its thrills by flying up right in front of everyone’s face. It was quite humorous and entertaining. This individual was a more typical example feeding from the torch ginger flowers in the woods.

The green monkeys found in Barbados originally came from Senegal and the Gambia in West Africa approximately 350 years ago. About 75 generations have occurred since these monkeys arrived in Barbados and, as a result of environmental differences and evolution, the Barbados monkeys today have different characteristics than those in West Africa.
The monkeys are found mainly in the parishes of St.John, St.Joseph, St.Andrew and St.Thomas, where much natural vegetation and woodlands still exist. However, monkeys can also be seen traveling through hotel grounds in St.Peter and St.James.

This is an image from a couple years ago and I finally got around to processing it. This falls has gone by the non-official name “Mossy Grotto” for quite a while. The name rings true enough because the location is quite a way off the beaten trail favoring healthy moss growth. However, what stands out to me most about this location are the abundant ferns that adorn area. My buddy Jeff recognized this as well and suggested the name “Fern Gully”, I concur.
