The Graz clock tower is a 28 meter high clock tower. It stands on the Schloßberg and is the landmark of Graz with its dials with a diameter of more than 5 meters and the gold-plated hands.

The new clock was accurate enough to show minutes. However, unlike today, the hour hand is the larger hand because it was more important to be able to read the hours correctly from a distance.

Excerpt from en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franciscan_Church,_Graz:

The Franciscan Church (German: Franziskanerkirche) and Franciscan Monastery (German: Franziskanerkloster) are a church and associated monastery in the centre of the city of Graz, Austria. The monastery was founded by the Franciscan order, who still own it, and is first mentioned in 1239.

In the church, a high but narrow 14th-century chancel contrasts with the comparatively low and wide nave. The chancel was gutted by a bomb in World War II, and subsequently rebuilt with a new contemporary interior. The stained glass windows bathe the church in light, whilst the chancel is dominated by a grey cast iron crucifix that seems to hover. The organ was installed by the Potsdam based Schuke company in 2004.

The original Gothic cloisters of the monastery enclose a monastery garden, and are open to the public. The walls of the cloister are lined with the names, professions and life data of the distinguished burghers and noblemen who were buried in this place between the 15th and the 18th centuries. On the first floor of the monastery, with windows looking into the chancel of the church, is the oratory, where the friars meet for their holy offices.

The high tower, one of the more prominent Graz landmarks, is unusual for a Franciscan establishment. It owes its existence to the church's strategic location next to the city walls, and was built as a fortified tower by the city authorities in the 17th century.

Former Austrian State Railways (ÖStB, ÖBB -1944-1978), originally 1944-built Deutsche Reichsbahn 'Kriegslok' 2-10-0 No. 52 1227, brewing up on the Graz-Köflacher Bahn (GKB) turntable at Graz depot during the evening of 12th February 2005. One of the last Austrian State Railways' steam locos to remain in service, withdrawn in December 1978, it is now to be found at Gera depot in Germany. Up until the 1970s, the GKB employed a fleet of mainly former ÖBB steam locos, including 'Kriegsloks' fitted with Giesl ejectors.

The Grazer Uhrturm is a 28 meter high tower on the Schloßberg in the Austrian city of Graz.

There has probably been a watchtower on this site since the 13th century. However, the current structure dates from 1560. The four large dials with a diameter of more than five meters date from 1712. It is remarkable that the hour hands of the clock are longer than the minute hands. Originally the timepiece only had hour hands. Minute hands were added later and were smaller than the hour hands.

Shortly after sunrise on 13th February 2005, former Austrian State Railways (ÖBB), 1944-built 'Kriegslok' 2-10-0 No. 52 1227 waits for departure at the head of a demonstration mixed train for Wies Eibiswald in the Graz Köflacherbahn (GKB) freight yard, opposite the 1860-built station building. The railway first opened to passenger traffic on 3rd April 1860. Due to its strategic importance for freight traffic, during the Second World War around ninety percent of the station complex was destroyed, with the surrounding area devastated by bomb strikes, which also killed several GKB employees.
