And again sorry, due to flickr's inability to properly save local language tags since late Sept. 2022 and no fix in sight (no UTF-8 support in tags, it appears only characters from the stone-age "Code Page 437" work correctly), the tags are incomplete - I had to omit some tags, and because the 浦东 causes flickr's tag parser to create gibberish it is placed at the end of the list.

Roppongi Hills' Mori Tower. This 54 storey high skyscraper is probably the most famous building in Roppongi - finished in 2003. It is now the home to shops, offices, an art museum and restaurants, and quite the landmark.
The only group of three supertalls, at night.

The Highlight Towers are twin office towers located in the the Parkstadt Schwabing area of Munich. With a height of 126m resp. 113m they belong to the tallest buildings in Munich.
The towers are connected by two glass/steel bridges, a double bridge at the 9th/10th floor and a single bridge at the 20th floor. Design by Murphy/Jahn (Chicago, USA).

This 113.7 meters tall Skyscraper in Munich was completed in 1981 and was renovated recently to meet modern energy standards.

The twin towers of the IFC complex in Shanghai Pudong. Left is 2IFC, the right tower is the "new" HSBC Tower (the former HSBC Tower is now occupied by the Hang Seng Bank). The lower parts are occupied by the IFC Mall - and an underground Apple store.
The "IFC" name and the style of the letters are same as Hong Kong's IFC - because it's the same Hong Kong based investor.
Between the two IFC towers the Shanghai Center peeks through.

No, these are not the skeletonized remains of some cooling tower - this is actually a piece of art, named "Mae West", after the actress.
The 52 m tall sculpture designed by Rita McBride was built from Oct. 2010 to Jan. 2011, the material is CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced polymer).
In the right background is the 113.7 m tall HVB Tower, one of the better looking modern buildings in Munich, completed already in 1981.

The two angel statues in the Lujiazui Central Green Area (陆家嘴中心绿地). In the background the SWFC and Jin Mao Tower - before somebody asks, the Shanghai Tower is completely hidden behind Jin Mao from this point of view.
Blue tone by setting the WB to "Tungsten" and flashing the angel statues. WIth AWB and no flash you'd get green angels and a brown sky - yuck!

The "Pearl of the Orient" TV tower and the surrounding skyscrapers in the Lujiazui financial district as seen from the Garden Bridge (外白渡桥).
As this was taken just past 10 PM most lights on the Pudong side are already switched off, this makes the Pearl Tower stand out even more.
The white "column" on the right behind the bridge truss is the "Shanghai Monument to the People's Heroes" (上海市人民英雄纪念塔) usually shortly called "Heroes Memorial". A concrete structure of three columns in the stylized form of three rifles leaned against each other. Here this monument is seen from below.

This is a view from the famous Victoria Peak towards buildings in Wanchai. The more common shot taken from the Peak is the "Ocean of Lights" wide view....
The prominent skyscraper is "Central Plaza" (中環廣場) and has long been the tallest building in Hong Kong before the taller 2IFC (國際金融中心二期) was built, which itself was surpassed in 2010 with topping out of the ICC (環球貿易廣場) on the Kowloon side.
During my time in that area I did have an office in Central Plaza.

Low hanging clouds obscure the upper part of the Pearl of the Orient TV Tower.
On the left is the twin tower "Shanghai IFC" complex, center the Oriental Pearl Tower and on the right the Bank of China Tower.

View towards west from the observation deck of the new Shanghai Tower, currently the tallest building in Shanghai and the second tallest in the world.
This is the big Huangpu River bend, with the Bund, the mouth of Suzhou Creek and the twin towers of the Shanghai IFC in the lower foreground.
I added some notes to identify buildings or other features in the picture, some of these notes contain links.

Aka "The Underpants" or "Big Pants" (大裤衩) as the locals call it due to it's distinctive shape.
This is a 44 storey, 234 m tall skyscraper located along the East 3rd Ring Road. It is the headquarters of China Central Television (CCTV in short).
Construction lasted from 2004 until 2012 with an impressive delay caused by a fire at Lantern Festival 2009 (part of Chinese New Year) that engulfed the adjacent "Television Cultural Center" (on the left in the photo). The fire was caused by CCTV officials holding an illegal fireworks celebration - this caused a major scandal in China, as the authorities, especially CCTV, unsuccessfully tried to suppress all news about that fire and its cause.
After being finally completed in 2012 the building won the "2013 Best Tall Building Worldwide" from the "Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat".
Here is a night view, taken later the same day. The Beijing smog did lead to impressive sky colours...

23:35 - half an hour before midnight. A view towards east on the elevated walkway beside Century Avenue. All the decorative lighting and the advertising signs were turned off long ago... - and the tourists populating that elevated walkway at other times are long back in their hotels...
Taken about 2 hours after this Pudong skyline shot - took so long to change location while getting more photos on the way...
