Today I'm grateful for the colors of Lake Superior rocks I've collected over the years and I’ve put them all around my house.
Color are the SMILES of nature.

Today I am grateful for our wonderful veterinary office we have south of town with two wonderful doctors. Yesterday was just a check up for Maggie.
Thankful for my fence and love the lone leaf stuck on it at the moment. Happy Fence Friday and have a wonderful weekend.

Thankful for my backyard. Yesterday was a gorgeous warm day and I sat in a chair and just sat peacefully quiet and enjoyed the way back fence view.
Is not this a true autumn day? Just the still melancholy that I love—that makes life and nature harmonize.

Thankful for ALL VETERANS
THANK YOU for everything you do for our country and our freedom! Today and every day we thank Veterans everywhere for their service! There aren't enough words to show our gratitude for all the troops who served our country. To all Veterans out there, we honor, respect, and support you!
We celebrated at Kens home with a nice dinner. Brian our son, 6 years in the Navy and Ken served in WW ll. Ken's holding his WW ll book that Dave's brother did years back for his father.

Today I am very grateful for my family and the time we could spend down to Ken’s.
It's strange to have a friend that you have never hugged, shook their hand or looked into their eyes.
But you have been touched by their soul, seen the good in their hearts and felt the warmth of their being.
The friends I have never met are not my friends untouched, for I have felt them with me when I needed them. I have confided in some of them and they are some of the kindest people I know here on Flickr.
This ends my month of November gratitude images but I am everyday grateful for you all.
Today I’m grateful for our oldest son, his two boys and his two goldens. We will FaceTime with them tomorrow when we are down to Dave’s dad and everybody gets to see everybody and talk. Technology amazes me now.

Thankful for our senior center in town. Yesterday they served Thanksgiving lunches and we went over with some friends. This was our lunch and it was absolutely delicious.
Very thankful for my father in law Ken who is 101 and 102 middle of December. I've been honored to know this man since I was 18 and what a man this guy is. But lately he's failing and his heart is wearing down and he's been falling and I don't know how much longer he can be by himself down in the woods. We've all got to make some hard decisions soon. God Bless him.

Most of my friends at this table we started kindergarten together and we are still going strong. Here celebrating two that had Birthdays in the month of October. We do it all year long on the different months we were all born.
Gratitude is the simplest way to change one’s perspective of the world. It allows us to appreciate the positive, rather than focus on the negative aspects of our lives. Learning to be grateful helps us appreciate the little things in life that we tend to take for granted, which brings about a deep feeling of satisfaction that fulfills and nourishes us.
I'm going to try for the month to show some of the people and things I'm truly THANKFUL for.

A little reading is all the therapy a person needs sometimes.
Today is the anniversary of the Bradley going down in one of the most violent storms on Lake Michigan history. I try to read this every year at this time. I was 6 when it happened and remember going down and watching our CG boat Sundew go out to rescue anyone. It was the scariest thing to watch and I will never forget that night. Try to get this and read this and the risky rescue of different vessels.
