My intent with this shot was to show the clear and concise linear elements on this porch.

I wanted to capture the clear and obvious horizon line in this shot, along with the vertical line breaking up the image.

f/5.6 1/500 ISO 100

lens length 18.0 mm 1/5 sec; f/22; ISO 100 This image I wanted to capture all of the points that bring the eyes to the center symbol. I used my tripod to set up this image and took lots of time balancing and adjusting it in order to create a more symmetrical feel.

This shot demonstrates how the curved lines of the path guide the focus of your eye to what's in the background.

f/5.3 1/125 ISO 100

lens length 52.0 mm 1/320 sec; f/25; ISO 125 In this image I used the lines in the bridge to draw the eyes to the flowers growing out of it. I shoot a little underexposed to darken the background and yet keep the flower brighter.

1/250 sec; f/5.6; ISO 125lens length 105.0 mm I took this image to show the diagonal lines in the butterflies wings. I also wanted to have the butterfly almost as if it were about to fly out of the frame.

f/6.3 1/640 ISO 100

lens length 105.0 mm 1/640 sec; f/5.6; ISO 200 In this image I wanted to capture the many curves of the chair back.

This shot is an example of a leading line in a natural environment.

f/4.5 1/50 ISO 100

lens length 105.0 mm 1/20 sec; f/11; ISO 200 In this image I wanted to capture the curves of this trees roots. I left the green left in the frame, because I loved the touch of added color to the image.

Runner up 2 of 2 for my Graphic Elements project

I was trying to replicate the view I had driving toward these poles, but I didn't exactly want to stand in the middle of the road. I do like the pole in the foreground, I feel it helps give a sense of depth to the image, but I feel that overall the image is a little weak for this project.
