So ... we were all sat in our crit session at uni today, all of us had presented our Flash web animations and we were taking a ten minute break before the other half of the group presented, and I noticed how colourful Jay and Naomi were behind me, with their pink and yellow tops. Then we noticed Alice was in blue, and then ... well you can see.
After a bit of thinking and faffing about we ended up with this, in the absence of a tripod.

This was the design studio when Todd first started in August. There's a few more people now as well. Not in this immediate space, but on the team. The christmas lights are long since gone, and it looks about the same, albeit a bit messier.
Claire Prouvost is a French illustrator and graphic designer based in Dublin, Ireland. She loves to draw charismatic women in her bold, colourful and minimalist style.
Now that I'm venturing out into the world as a freelance design consultant, I figured I needed a headshot. Thanks to my wife for putting up with all my hands on art direction during the photoshoot.

The adult Indian silverbill is 11–11.5 cm long and has a conical silver-grey bill, buff-brown upperparts, white underparts, buffy flanks and dark wings. The tail is black and the wings are dark contrasting with a white rump. The sexes are similar, but immatures have buff underparts and a shorter tail.

My tiki, Oliver holding the Smokin’ Dynamite deck. He’s so happy about his new deck he didn’t even unwrap it yet.
I had such a lovely time with my daughter and my son-in-law in San Diego. And the weather was perfect, not too hot and not too cold, just right and sunny every day. It was not easy to come back to snow and cold winter.
Clint Miceli was killed this past week while riding up LaSalle Street. An SUV driver opened his door into the bike lane. Miceli "struck the SUV's door, flew off his bike and was run over by a passing vehicle that eventually stopped, police said. He suffered severe head injuries and was pronounced dead Monday night at Northwestern Memorial Hospital." (from the Chicago Tribune)
Clint's mom of Chicago Drivers:
"They're not sensitive to bikers," she said of Chicago drivers. "Bikers are an annoyance to them."
I didn't know Clint, but this one really hit close to home. He was just a few years younger than me and was also a graphic designer here in Chicago.
When opening car doors, check your mirror for oncoming bicyclists. They share the same rights to the road as cars. Please be aware of your surroundings.
