This harvest abstract is based on a photo that I captured of an autumn grapevine in Castle Combe, UK. It was a glorious sunny day which presented a challenge to my camera. I took my photo which was very contrasty with blown out highlights to Deep Dream Generator and Topaz Studio to render a distillation of what I saw in my mind's eye.

Happy Fence Friday!!

HFF!!

More of the series from the town of Gruene. I didn't go in this place, but after reading about them on the Internet, I wish I had. It sounds like Thursday night is the best time to go because they give out free samples of food and wine with live music.

Reworked

The original of this one has had a surge of visits over the last few days, so I thought you all might like to see it again - with a few subtle changes.

The late evening sun casting shadows on on an adventurous tendril of grapevine as it tumbles over the back fence of a suburban garden.

at the back of our house, and Peter has every intention of making wine! As so many of English vineyards are now producing award winning wines, it should, theoretically, be possible for us to do the same! Not holding my breath though....

Last day of Moth week. I thought this funky guy would be a great ending shot. I still have more to share but will just mix them in with my other shots in the future.

I hope everyone enjoys this image! :D

Heritage Park & Botanical Garden, Grapevine, TX. On a drab, cloudy day.

A Phalaenoides glycinae Moth sitting on my patio strp. It seemed a little reluctant to go out into the hot sunshine for quite a long time enabling me to get a half decent shot. And yes my Grapevine are showing signs of both the caterpillars andn perhaps a viral disease, as well as having some grapes. HWW

I went to the extreme with the oil paint FX in Photoshop - not usually a preference

As exceptional as this summer has been don't think I'll be treading these to make wine just yet with these grapes growing at the back of my house.

This is from the vine that I planted some 14 years ago that now scrambles up the trellis on the south facing wall.
