The alpha and the omega. Physicists have been working to develop the "holy grail" therory that mathematically explains the behavior of the universe from the very small - quantum level particles, to the massively large - galaxies, black holes and dark matter. String theory has moved the thinking beyond just the newtonian (large) and quantum (small) prior successes but there are still large gaps in their understanding and mathematical underpinnings have been elusive. Dennis the Peasant: Listen. Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.

Dennis the Peasant: You can't expect to wield supreme power just 'cause some watery tart threw a sword at you!
Arthur: Shut up
Dennis the Peasant: I mean, if I went around saying I was an emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!
Arthur: [grabs Dennis] Shut up! Will you shut up?!
Dennis: Ah, now we see the violence inherent in the system!

Arthur: Bloody Peasant!

Another shot from one of my new favorite places!!.....The Wave in North Coyote Buttes (The Paria Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness area). It's described in one of my books as one of the Holy Grails of photography sites.....I'm inclined to agree!

When I first saw this, I thought it looked like a chalice, towering over the surrounding sculptures and pagodas like a God. Climbing up on the neighboring stupa to take a few shots was harder than it looks, but here she is. Basking in her glory. 😁
I watched your life blood

What can I say? To me, this image transcends everything. Personally, it is one of my most meaningful and favourite images I have ever taken. If you were to ask me what I believed in, what I thought was precious in this world, I would say that this image represented my world completely, and who I am.
There is a dialogue happening here, with this Cup. There is a presence here, other than me, and the Cup has called it down.
When this happens and I am fortunate enough to witness it, feel it, experience it, I need nothing else.
A Grail Keeper protects and keeps this love safe. A Grail Keeper keeps the Light alive. My Love and Blessings to all.

To be fair, the crew of UP ILBG4 has just arrived and turned on the headlights, ready to blast off from their parking spot at Venice, IL, as NS 125 passes overhead. Still, I'll take a non-moving over-under over no over-under.
Holy Friday and what better place to look for the holy grail that the fantastic beach of Adraga.
Additionally, a BIG thanks to Lucroit for sending me the new version of their 100mm Filter Holder.
My first impressions are very positive over the previous model, now it allows me to use the Lee filters without any constraint or limitation.
Another note is the perfect fit of the square neutral density filters and their sponge in the slot's, as well the precious help of the flaps that prevent the entry of side or top light.
Once again, an excellent product by Lucroit !

Yep, the Western Terminus of the Lincoln Highway... the Holy Grail of the trip. However, the trip is only half over. I'm in Winnemucca, NV this morning, on my way up to Nampa, Idaho to visit Allen (Roadsidepictures), then Allen and I will both meet Jess (Phydeaux460) in Boise. I've detailed it in the blog post, so check that out if you're up to it.
I'll be following US-95 up to Nampa, which looks like a pretty lonely stretch of road. ...yet another one. I'm up for it.
Gotta run... breakfast and Idaho (in that order) await! :-)
