The flowers looked too bright for how dark the forest felt, and the stone behind me carried the kind of expression that never changes… like it’s seen a thousand queens come and go.
I didn’t sit on the throne.

I am going to put "goth" and "goth makeup" in the key words. Maybe this will give some modern "goths" a smile. To each his/her own, but I am not so much a fan of goth makeup. Actually, T think that is the point. An old guy like me is not supposed to be. However, I think the natural version shown here is cute.
This is some kind of alpaca. One of the old families in our little town has two adjacent, nice, fenced pastures, inside the town limits. They mostly keep llamas and alpacas in the big one and goats in the smaller one. When I took this photo a few days ago, the big pasture had a mix of 5 llamas and alpacas. This alpaca came up to the low fence bordering public path and was basically staring me in the face.

I haven't had much motivation to photograph lately. It's just so cold. There's a foot of snow on the ground and another 8 inches coming tonight.
For those of you who don't know, I left my abusive boyfriend and went back to school. Ugh.
But I've reached spiritual enlightenment. I am happy. :)
