Another frame from a perfectly aligned wave. I can't wait for the sun to move back along the horizon.

Jumped in the water yesterday an hour before sunset & got barreled until it was dark! This one was taken about a half hour before the sun set & you can start to see how the gopro struggles in low light with a slight motion blur going on here, which I kinda like :P The rumor is the GoPro 4 is coming out in October and will have a larger sensor capable of performing in low light....we shall see:) & the holiday weekend really brought out the beach-goers; check them out...getting barreled & they don't even know it :) :)

-Go to spot: no barrels, too windy

-Back up: no go

-Spot that never does anything: What!?!?

Today I spent a few hours at a shorebreak that is usually too violent and just a mess. Well today, it did this! So stoked...

The only reason I got out was some guy was yelling at me from the beach....turns out I left my headlights on...HaHa!

This image is special to me as it is taken at a beach that brings back a lot of memories. Just being in the water here connects me to these memories.

Thank you flickr family for all your kind words, favorites & for following. It would probably take all day to thank everybody individually. I really do appreciate all the kindness being thrown my way! I'll be checking out everybody's pics (as always) & will do my best to reciprocate! Thank you!!!

Last night the weather/surf report was looking pretty good for today to produce. So I woke up this morning & drove to the usual spot & it was delivering the goods:) The sun was peaking out through the clouds & barrel after barrel came flying over my head for about 45 minutes. I hadn't seen the inside of a barrel in over a week so I am still super stoked! Then, one wave later the wind shifted onshore, brought the fog with it, & ruined everything! haha. It was an awesome 45 minutes though!

Today was pretty special. The Ocean is alive & it allowed me to be a part of it; even if it was only for a short time:)

Thank you to everybody for this awesome week! I haven't had much time in the water so it has been super fun making some new flickr friends!

More fun with reflections :) Everybody likes piers right?

Making the most of my short time at home:)

Probably the smoothest wave I have ever seen...The low light slowed the shutter speed just a tad too much, but kinda added to the smoothness...So I'm okay with that:) Taken a few waves after I face planted, as mentioned in a previous post :P

& speaking of slow shutter....Go check out laatideon 's photostream. Your mind will be blown by Deon's slow shutter waves! He is a true artist with his camera.

Here's his slow shutter album: blurry blurry

We had a stretch there where an hour before sunset the wind was dying & the ocean & waves were glassing off. We are constantly trying to predict whether or not it will "glass off" as the weather forecasts aren't very helpful in this area. It's actually kind-of funny listening to everybody & their predictions, & even better when it happens :P

I was lucky enough to grab this splash of back-lit light moments before the sun disappeared below the horizon.

Thanks to everybody for the nice words in response to the flickr blog. I was blown away by the article. If you haven't seen it yet you can check it out here:

might go chasing it later...
