The Queen's College, High Street, Oxford, England, United Kingdom

built everything, well photographically at least. Great place with excellent cafe and visitors centre. This place is another reserved world of natural wonders nestled in amongst our modern pressures of life and living that often overlooks wildlife and the chance to be calmer and closer to land and water and to those that never left the cycle of seasonal lifestyle.

This is not an advert. I am sharing this picture from my mobile phone to show my latest go to to help a little this clears my throat wonderfully well. I am not trying to promote it into your life, rather showing you what I enjoying in mine and that I like this image too. The label to me evokes cures and tonics as of old. I have no idea of any benefits. The vinegar is a strong shot for my throat and here I have the label ready for my curious memory.

An enticing picture on the side of the cafe at Gravesend's Gordon Gardens, closed due to inclement weather/end of season (?)...

I once read a book by Robert A Heinlein, a progenitor of the noodle brain "thought processes" of Enoch Musch and its ilk: a 600 page "sci-fi epic" with a collection of silliness presented as snappy aphorisms - "A camel is a mouse designed by a committee".

This painting illustrates that very point, in that a committee consisting of Jackson Pollock, Andy Warhol and Amy Winehouse, tasked with designing a winning ice cream cone to be sold on sunny days in untold number, would have come up with just this and the world would have been the better for it. Or not, as the case may be.

I've not posted recently as I've been on holiday to Norway, mainly Bergen and a little bit of Oslo at both the beginning and the end. I have over 700 photos to process from RAW, so this is one from my phone from our last evening in Oslo. Expect to see lots more!

We purposely choose Norway for a cooler holiday so as a family we'd do lots of exploring (I don't like the heat unless I'm by a pool and my children are the same). It definitely worked, although Bergen was a bit chillier than hoped, - it's a bit warmer now we've left, but we were very lucky with the rain. Now we're back to yet another heat wave in the UK, however at least we've escaped it for the last couple of weeks.

Will try and catch up with your wonderful pictures over the coming weeks.

Many thanks for your favourites and comments.
