As all do know, Sir Picanuper is in hibernation, and all is well in Gravesend.
Once upon a time and since when that was, The Space Ghoul 3 have Protected Gravesend and indeed All The Earth from baddies who might come from the stars and thereabouts, the 3 have Super Powers, Super Weapons and are each of them Super Heroes or Heroines as the case may be, they are infinitely and indefinitely Super which is as Super as is necessary. They drink Super Serum for breakfast and bananas, these maintain their Superness at peak levels and sometimes they like to have Ovaltine, for because. All of them have a secret identity, called Brian Notahobbit.

I remember reading about Pocahontas at school in Detroit, 1968/9. Hers is an interesting story, so much as we know the truth about it: she wasn't, for example, a Princess, although efforts may have been made to give her equivalent status.
She was the daughter of the chief of the Powhatan people, Wahunsenacawh, associated with the Jamestown colony. She was baptized a Christian, as Rebecca, and married a settler/tobacco planter John Rolfe. She and her husband traveled to England in 1616 to promote the colony and Pocahontas, as Rebecca Rolfe, a celebrity, was presented to "society". She and her husband and son lived in Brentford for some time, before beginning the journey to return to Jamestown in 1617. Pocahontas was taken ill and disembarked from her ship at Gravesend, where she died. She would have been 21 or so, her exact age being unknown.
It's not known where she was buried or remains: I got to know one of Gravesend's historians and he was certain her resting place was further inland. No one knows.
The statue here is a replica of one in Jamestown, from 1907 and is often visited by visitors from the USA.

Uh, oh...
In Gravesend, Trolls do not swear like what navvies do; the strongest word any Troll might say, even when trodden on * is 'Crivens'. That's what they say in The Beano, when biffed playfully by a friend or when a grand piano falls on you.
So, when a Grandad Troll was playing on the PC and see this he did say "Crivens", out loud.
"What is this ?" he say, aghastly. "It is not Good News, oh dear..." Is it bad ? Goodness, is it Fake ?
It is true Sir Picanuper does Love Everybody Unreservedly, except Cliff Richard and J. Clarkson and some others too stupid...perhaps he must be awoken from his slumbers !

The Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, better known as the Red Arrows, put on a show for Peterhead Week 2023.
Well, confession time. I came to Peterhead with my camera and telephoto lens with the intention of taking photos of the air display. Unfortunately, I somehow left my memory card at home :( So instead, I've had to rely on taking video using my Pixel 7 Pro phone.
As Flickr has a 1 Gigabyte size limitation on video files, I've had to split the demonstration into two parts.
I'm no videographer, and I've no real experience in editing video files, so I apologize if the video isn't great. I took 11 separate clips of footage and joined them together into two videos that together take up around 15 minutes of time. This isn't the entire display, but it's the bulk of it.
One of the features of Gravesend's Riverside Leisure Area was an outdoor gym, I think opened around the time of the London Olympics. It's currently closed for repair/refurbishment. There are a number of these poles still there; they used to hold stylized rather than effective shades, which are no longer there.
It's possible the poles are actually guarding strange beings who hid beneath the space-age rubber surface; their existence and mystical purpose are known to even stranger beings from beyond comprehension by mere mortals, disguised as a lamp-post, who have infiltrated in a Putinesque way and, well, you know, it won't end well.
