This is an attempt to install Google drive without them sending me an email first. Unable to access the Google drive until my account is ready.
On my android device though I was able to install and use the application.

Liebe Ehrenamtliche des DLaxV,
für die, die mich noch nicht kennen, ich bin Konstantin Niehaus und für die Pressearbeit unseres Verbandes verantwortlich. Da wir derzeit keinen Webmaster haben, kümmere ich mich nebenbei um die Webseite und betreue die Mailaccounts des DLaxV. Dies bringt mich auch schon zu meinem Anliegen. Vor knapp einem Jahr konnte sich der DLaxV erfolgreich bei Google Apps for non-profits registrieren. Das bedeutet, dass unsere Organisation auf die zahlreichen Dienste von Google kostenfrei zugreifen kann. Dazu zählt ein verbandsweites Googledrive, Hangoutchats, gemeinsame Adressbücher und Kalender. Weitere Informationen findet ihr hier: apps.google.com
Weiter haben wir die Möglichkeit, unsere Mailaccounts auf Google umzuschreiben. An eurer E-Mailadresse wird sich dabei nichts ändern, jedoch an eurem Login. Die Mails werden nicht mehr von unserem alten Provider All-inkl abgerufen, sondern können nach einem Login bei Google eingesehen werden, bzw. könnte ihr die Gmail-App nutzen, um euren Account bequem auf euren mobilen Endgeräten einzurichten.
Dazu benötigt ihr selbstverständlich entsprechende Logindaten. Während du diese Mail liest, bin ich dabei, allen DLaxV Funktionären ihre Logindaten zu übermitteln.
Generell gibt es derzeit drei Arten von Nutzern:
Nutzer mit bereits existierendem DLaxV Google Account
keine neuen Logindaten
ergänzt eure persönlichen Daten
überprüft eure zugeordneten Mailadressen und eure Gruppen
Nutzer ohne DLaxV Google Account
wartet auf eure Logindaten
Loggt euch in den nächsten 3 Tagen auf eurem Account ein
Euer Name ist abgekürzt oder falsch? Dann schreibt mir euren vollständigen Namen, sodass ich diesen ändern kann
ergänzt eure persönlichen Daten
überprüft eure zugeordneten Mailadressen und eure Gruppen
Nutzer, die zwar auf einer @dlaxv.de Adresse erreicht werden können, von dort aber nur auf einen privaten Account weitergeleitet wird:

Ja: Falls ihr einen DLaxV Login benötigt, dann meldet euch bei mir
Nein: Sagt mir bitte Bescheid, sodass ich die Weiterleitung aufheben kann und unser Mailsystem übersichtlicher wird
Wenn ihr euch eingeloggt habt, kann ich dies sehen und nehme dies als Bestätigung, dass bis hierhin alles funktioniert hat. Wenn euch bei der Überprüfung eurer Gruppen und Alias ein Fehler auffällt, bitte ich euch, mir umgehend Bescheid zu geben. Bei knapp 100 Mailadressen und noch mehr Weiterleitungen ist mir beim manuellen Übertragen sicher ein Fehler unterlaufen. An dieser Stelle bitte ich euch schon einmal um euer Verständnis.
Nachdem sich alle eingeloggt haben, wird Folgendes passieren: Ich kappe die Verbindung zum alten Mailsystem, ändere die Servereinstellungen so, dass alle Mails nurnoch auf euren Googleaccount geschickt werden. Eure alten Mailverläufe werden mit migriert werden, sodass es keinen Datenverlust geben wird. Ich werde schauen, dass die Aktion über Nacht stattfindet, sodass ihr nach Möglichkeit keine Einschränkungen durch Downtimes haben werdet.
Im Anhang findet ihr eine Liste an Mail/Kommunikationsgruppen, die ich bereits angelegt habe. Falls euch hier welche fehlen oder ihr noch in weitere eingetragen werden möchtet, schreibt mir auch hier eine kurze Nachricht.

Dear member of DLaxV,
I am Konstantin Niehaus and responsible for the public relations resort of our association. Since we do not have a webmaster I have taken over this position and now I am doing the administration work for our website and mail service. I am writing you this mail because the DLaxV is about to switch its mail provider. Last year the DLaxV successfully signed up for Google Apps for non-profits. This means that we now can make free use of various services that the google environment offers us. This includes an association wide google drive, hangout chats, shared address books and calendars. Check out apps.google.com for more information.
Moreover we will migrate our mail accounts from our old provider to google. This will leave your email address untouched but the way you log in for checking your mails will change slightly. You will just have to login to gmail or connect your smartphone with the google mail service.
Of course before doing this you need your login data. While you are reading this, I am about to send every member of the DLaxV team his personal login data. Some may receive something like: "Your password has been changed." Just klick on the link and paste the given password. You will be asked to change your password after logging in successfully .
Right now there are the following three types of users:
Users which already have a Google DLaxV account
no new login data
change your personal data
check your groups and mail aliases
Users without DLaxV Google Account
wait for your login data
login into your account within the next three days
Your Name is wrong or you miss your surname? Please write me an email with the correct data.
edit your personal data
check your groups and mail aliases
Users which receive mails via a @dlaxv.de by forwarding to a private mail address
Are you still working for our association?
Yes: If you need a DLaxV account, please write a mail with your full name.
No: Please contact me to delete the forwarding and to clean up our mail system
When you are successfully logged in, I will get a message and will start to prepare your account for the migration step. If you find mistakes while checking your groups or aliases, please contact me so I can correct it. Surely something went wrong by copying 100 addresses and names and even more forwardings by hand. If you find a mistake, I am really sorry and will work hard for correcting it as soon as possible.
After everyone successfully logged in the following will happen: I will cut the connection to our old provider and change some server settings to redirect all mails to google. Your mail history will be migrated, too, so there will be no loss of data. I will try to do this overnight to make sure that your work does not suffer from downtimes.
In the appendix you find a list of mail groups I already generated. If you miss some groups or you do need a membership in certain communication groups, please write me a mail with the group name and why you have to be added to that group.

Google has received an offer for a free 1TB of Google Drive storage for 2 years.
Google has updated its local guides program for Google #Maps, people who regularly post reviews, #upload photos or tourist spots, and other locations with increased Google Drive and also for the upcoming products.
Being an eager reviewer on Google Maps, you can get 1TB of free drive storage for yourself.
1TB of Google Drive storage after they became a Rank 4 local guide on Google Maps, which means you have to acquire 200 or more points that can be obtained by writing reviews as well as uploading photo of place, adding new places, fixing wrong information and answering from Google Maps users in your area.
The criteria would be easier for users with a habit of reviewing stuff as part of their behavior. However, if you crave the 1TB Google Drive storage space, the hard work is definitely worth for it. An important point to consider is Google’s process of screening out reviews with poor quality.
This occurs when users just sign up to be a Local Guide and then span out with reviews and content with average quality reviews. Writing thoughtful and invoking content would automatically lead you to your 1TB of free Google Drive storage.

Almost all of my professional and personal writing that is not in a blog or other destination is done in Google Drive. I have managed to maintain a single Google account (with the exception of my ODU account, which I rarely use unless required in class) for personal and professional life.

I received a message about HelloFax from someone I know. I usually
trust these things more if they come from someone I know distantly who
has a reputation as a geek, so my gut reaction was, "Uh oh. I better
check it out, but I really don't want to." Now, for the record, I have
all the fax services I need through work, and no need of this service.
When this might be useful would be if I wanted or needed to send a fax
that was not remotely related to work. Hasn't happened in years, but
it is possible. Not a bad thing to know about options, just in case. I
could see this being especially useful for folks looking for a job,
starting out as consultants or creating their own small business.
As you can see from the screenshot, the first thing it did was ask me
to log in with my Google account. Yeah, right, sure. They offer free
samples and potential prizes. Frankly, that makes me even MORE
nervous. So I did a little more digging.
First step: check the privacy policy.

Hmmm, well this sounds ok:

The Cookies management also sounds reasonable. So far, so good.
Second step: check the About Us.
Ah, good, they have one! And it has names and pictures and what they
do! Even better, I recognize some of the names. Much much better.
Third step: check the pricing.

Choose plan. Reasonably priced options for a small or medium business,
and the free option is of course my choice. They include an FAQ on the
same page with the pricing. Not common, and VERY nicely done! No
contract. Easy cancellation. 30-day buyers regret option. Easy option
for if you go over the number of pages for your account — 10 cents
each page. My favorite question/answer: "Are there any setup fees?
Nope! That'd be absurd. We never charge setup or cancelation fees."
Alright, I trust them enough now to log in with my account.
Step 1 of 2:
"HelloFax is requesting permission to:
- View basic information about your account
- View your email address
- Manage your contacts"
That seems reasonable. They are faxing the documents from your Google
Drive account, so they would need access to get at what you want to
send, and they also need to know who you are sending things to, so
contacts seems reasonable. Ok, I'll go along with this.
Step 2 of 2:
"Install the HelloFax app at the Chrome webstore"
The Chrome webstore gives you a lot more detail about the HelloFax
app, including screenshots, details, reviews.
You can send documents from Google Drive to either a fax machine or an
email address, and if someone sends you a fax it is directed to your
email as a PDF. They accept / deliver 30 filetypes. Installing the app
creates a HelloFax folder in your Google Drive for your faxes.
