His cool demeaner made an easy conversation for a mild afternoon on State Street, we exchanged names and this is when I had the pleasure of meeting Magale. Currently searching for the right housing situation, he recently got a job working for Topper's Pizza on the East side. He was excited to inform me that he was meeting with his PO later in the day, and with so much positive in his life at the moment he was happy to oblige when I asked him if I could take his photo. He did tell me part of the deal would be to take a picture every time I see him and with a smile as big as his, how could I turn down the offer. He was showing off a nice new coat he got from Bethel on Wisconsin Avenue. Snazzy and warm, a few quick clicks and we had a satisfactory shot! Here's to more good energy ahead for Magale in his search!

The image was inspired by an entry on March 8th found at www.librarything.com/blog/. I am not affiliated - so this is not a shameless plug - but it is a very cool site that I may well join in the near future. It happens that one of our clients, a private school, has their library collection posted there. Curious, I was looking around and found they hold monthly photo contest related to images about books - for March, it was a combined contest for Spring, and Women's History Month - look for images tagged librarything.
More to the point, my Mom had met many of the most influential women in business during her affiliation as a founding member of a very special women's group called the Committee of 200 (link found on my GPC site). Needless to say, she had a lot of books by and about women's issues. So, there you have it. :c)

Although it is difficult today to see beyond the sorrow... May looking back in memory help comfort our tomorrows. Joe was taken from us far too early; whether Son, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Cousin, or Friend the loss of his warmth, kindness, and humor leave us with a deep sense of sorrow but our memories will remain and in them our love. We Miss You Joe!
