More light play, this time at West Kirby marina last night with a couple of fellow loopers......... ;)
Thanks for looking,
Chris.
Myself & Dave met up with light painter extraordinaire Mr Hob who had kindy offered to show us the way into this underground location for some exploration & general light faffery.
Watching Mr H work his magic in the creation of these images was a real pleasure to behold, & I think the quality of the images speak for themselves.
First drive-in since I was a teenager (many moons ago) and Lins’ first drive-in ever. She put the top down and we watched the first Star Trek movie under the stars. It was fabulous fun!
Photographers are a strange lot, who else in their right mind would get up at ridiculous o'clock to walk miles carrying heavy bags in pouring rain just to stand in a cold river?
A very enjoyable meet with Angela, Annabelle and Leighton Roberts, opobs, Penarth Headlander and Panda, the river was swollen more than I've ever seen it so Sgwd Einion Gam was absolutely out of the question but we had a great time at Sgwd Gwladys. At least two of the party got wet feet from water filled wellies and another took a tumble, we know who we are!
I also got to sample the delights of Weetabix cake, delicious. I'm not going again unless we have Weetabix cake!
Looking forward to seeing the group photo haha.

Conditions were diificult here, I was soaked and thoroughly miserable, this is the only decent (?) shot I could manage!

First off, please accept my sincere apology for my ugly mug polluting an otherwise lovely nature scene. This is from the upper pool at Murhut Falls. It was misty good fun slipping and sliding to this spot. I composed this and my friend Bob pressed the button on my camera for me. I'm not too sophisticated when it comes to gadgets that might help me do all of this by myself. Heck, I'm not particularly sophisticated regarding anything. Just a guy that likes to romp around in nature with other friends.
Pretty simple.

Again, from the archives......
Drowned Rats Early Morning Adventure
Another of Sgwd Gwladys, an easy fall to get to but one I've never managed to photograph well in the past. I've never been up here when the water was so high, it was pretty spectacular!
EDIT: The branch has left the building after a (very good) suggestion by opobs
If you go down to the woods today ....... :-)
Bored silly, so I popped to the local woods & fired up some wire wool etc... It seemed to do the trick :-)
Or Knights of the Manor!!
Seems a bit of a motley crew!
But I have bruises in all sorts of places after a session with these guys!! Ouchy
(Should have cleaned the mirror first!!)

Just having a great time at a recent Pride march/rally. Just check out the middle lassies socks...
Also notice how they were all perfectly in step too...
The force of the fresh water coming from the creek carried the kids all the way down to the surf's edge. Looked fun - almost wanted to try it out for myself.
Yours truly, playing down on the beach just below the derelict Steetley works.
Taken in the great company of Dave , Col B & Jordan. Check out thier photostreems for some great shots..
A special thanks to Dave for painting in the red & green whilst I manned the Makita !! ;-)

It's Tuesday! This time I decided Meijer (large grocery store) would be a good place to get my face on the ground. The lady in blue by my head was concerned that I was possibly having a seizure and was about to call 911.
Originally I was going to Face Down at Costco (warehouse club), but after seeing the older clientele with very large heavy carts, I changed my mind. I feared for my life!
Did a lovely project about HEAT with photographer @DavidLReamer catchingtheox.com/projects.php #goodfun #wordplay #photography
this is not yermy issue, but it's what happens when you forget to change the scanner settings from reflective to transparency.
Our destination and turnaround point from our long hike last Sunday happened to be Bridge Creek Falls. The shooting conditions were not prime, but nevertheless, this waterfall was raging pretty good as it was being fed from the meltwaters from the High Divide above.
Not the highest quality photograph......sorry all......I just wanted to point out that this is out there!

Please go back through my photos to see additional shots of our hike.
Good company ruled the day; thanks again Ken and Kelsie!
A good friend and colleague, Michael eyes his next target at a work-sponsored outing. It's the season of get togethers and social events, ahead of the Christmas season.
I have enrolled for an advanced course in Food Photography, thus all the still lifes of food.
You will all be relieved when my life gets back to normal again.
My food shots have been uploaded to my 500px site:
and they are in a set entitled Food.

What a mess. I'm still working out the kinks on my bleach technique. Blah, blah, blah. I've been trying to work out the kinks for a while now. Sometimes with better success than others. It's all a lot of fun though.
I, somehow, partially exposed the pack of film before I got it into the camera. That is what those black pockets at the top of the frame are. FUN!
Quebec, TX somewhere between Marfa and Valentine.
After we finished taking shots from way up high on the hillside we drove down to a couple of different beaches at catch the rough weather from a beach perspective. These kids and their parents were taking advantage of a free fresh water waterslide. The kids were having an absolute ball.

scott rides his dog in the basket all over town. she sits there calmly - it's fun to see them out. here they ride home from the moonlite cruze.
Well, the knucklehead you see in this photograph is me and I am taking in the view from this rocky basalt outcropping. My hiking friend Kelsie was kind to take this shot with my camera. It was a bit harrowing standing here, as there was a steep drop off just on the front side of where I was perched. I managed however.
We hiked to Mount Townsed in the Buckhorn Wilderness of the Olympics yesterday on a trail that is not as well used as others in the area. The Dirty Face Ridge Trail offered a lot of solitude and some spectacular views. There were many varieties of wildflowers in full display on this mostly sunny 13 hour day!
Overall, we climbed 3,280 feet in 3.75 miles to crest this popular peak. Interesting enough, was the steep section of the trail in the beginning of our climb. In one mile, we climbed 1265 feet (yikes!!!). Needless to say, there was a good burn on the legs in this section!
Lately, I have had the good fortune of being able to get out and get some hiking in. My legs are strong right now and I am not getting winded like I was back in April. Feels great to be able to enjoy the gorgeous scenery of Washington and not labor in the process!
As always, it was fun hanging out with Kelsie. She is a strong hiker and an exceptional photographer and her company and friendship are valued on days such as this. Who loves you Kelsie? Richard Simmons does baby......"work it girl, I don't mean me, work it"!
