This portrait was born by chance in a ticket office in France. A stray cat had wandered into the reception area and spent the whole morning on the receptionist's lap. I asked the girl if I could photograph them together. Animals can sense when someone is being kind to them. And Alexandra is definitely more than just a beautiful girl.

I took this one from a window of an ancient palace in Valencia while visiting and I was looking around when this old man caught my attention.
I was so touched after seeing the flowers in his suitcase, that looking trought the camera viewfinder, I was completely forgetting to press the shoot button of my reflex.

unfortunate framing, but the other shots didn't have as good of an expression.
i actually downgraded from a 350d to a 300d w/ a kit lens, this is the first from my 300d. really enjoying the 300d in comparison.. not sure why, something about it feels more comfortable. (might be the $200 savings, or my natural inclination to funkyjunk instead of pristine nice newness, or maybe the huge clunky goodfeel of the larger body -- now that just sounded wrong.)
