a fisherman's cove on Mljet Island, Croatia; a couple of tourists had just gone swimming commando style (left their clothes on the rocks to the left) :-)))
This was the sunrise and the beautiful orange glow that was shinning on the Peregrine Falcon at Stone Harbor Point NJ.
This is Whitstable on the North Kent coast, England taken a few years ago now very early in the morning and those structures in the distance are wind turbines!
Don't tell me my summer is gone
I feel like the cold had just left
Why do I lose all this time
Counting and counting the things I'll never do
Don't tell my summer is done
I've only just thought about opening the blinds
This year was supposed to be the one
What happened to my time
I'll sink in my throne
Choke on my words
Slave on these songs
Never to be heard
I'll be the one
With the sad tale
Beautiful start
Promise and fail
Don't tell me my summer is done
I feel like the cold had just left
Why do I lose all this time
Counting and counting the things I'll never do
Don't tell my summer is gone
I've only just thought about opening the blinds
This year was supposed to be the one
What happened to my time?

The Old Shiel Bridge is a beautiful monument to Thomas Telford, but it is hard to get a shot looking under its arch to the quiet backwater beyond, the view blocked by old oak trees ( I must remember there are some with yellow ribbons tied around them in this locale). I guess the salmon are more easily lured by fisherman dressed in old fishing garb and looking the part. After all, what self-respecting salmon would want to be caught by any old slob in jeans with a Blue Zambesi fly on his rod?
But the signs remain.
Kingsburg, Ca.
BTW, KMart left town over five years ago. Their building has sat empty all this time. Word is out that T Mobile is going to install a call center in the building and employ a thousand people. Mind you, the population of Kingsburg is only 12 thousand.
As for Burger King, they too have been gone for many years. Their facility sat empty for a number of years and then was taken over by a mom and pop type of restaurant/fast food type of place. Not sure how that is working out.
