You might expect a railroad like the IHB, serving heavy industry, to have lots of steel based traffic, and you'd be right! Witness a seemingly endless train of gons led by two GP40-2's on such a winter's day in Dolton, IL.

Rounding out my very first visit to the Pittsburgh Line in 2016, a pair of NS SD70's lead a lengthy train of old steel Top Gons at Carneys Crossing. Man i wish i could relive this scene again.

Qui-Gon to Anakin: Remember, concentrate on the moment. Feel, don't think. Trust your instincts.

this was fun: bouncing a little flash from the catch card into a scene lit completely by sodium lights. i have a version of this shot without flash and it looks pretty grungy, but that's about it. the white light of the flash sort of tricks your eye into making everything else look like it's on fire.
The coal buckets on E248 are aglow as the sun prepares to make a magical last second drop under appearance at the siding in Canoe, Alabama, on the CSX M&M Sub.

Re-using obi-wan's tunic piece onto different legs and body. 4th upgraded tunic custom. If you like the 'old school' yellow figs more than flesh tones, leave a comment below. (Im considering uploading Luke in his original 2000 yellow head.
The black beach in Jökulsarlon was really different than anything I've seen before. It's mesmerizing, but at the same time absolutely depressing. In Iceland you can definitely feel lonely.

and using my photo of an oil painting signed by artist Curren, which we bought in Queensland, Australia c 2002. It hangs on our wall. Cannot find any record of this artist on the Internet.
Love this painting, and it instantly appealed as a setting for the giraffe :-)

After setting out some empty gons in Auburn and yarding their train at Solvay, the crew did some switching to make up their return train for Geneva and departed, giving us just enough time for a lunch and bathroom break.
Now with 2004 leading, GS-2 approaches the depot at Skaneateles Jct. Looks like work is continuing on the building, hopefully there's a signboard in the future.
