And they're off....the red buggy is way out in front.

So much for the exercise with all the walking, but if they make one of these with a small block Chevy engine, I'll dust off my golf clubs and join them.

National Golf Lovers Day in 2025 will be on Saturday, October 4th. This day is an opportunity for golf enthusiasts to celebrate the sport by playing a round with friends, practicing at the driving range, watching a tournament, or simply sharing their love for golf.

Prompt: Create a whimsical digital fine art painting in ultra-realistic detail, vertical aspect ratio. The scene features two anthropomorphic dogs playing golf, one is a West Highland White Terrier and the other is a Salt and Pepper Schnauzer, on a lush green course.

Westie is dressed in a bright red sweater, is standing in a sand trap, swinging a golf club. Sand flies dramatically around him as he strikes, emphasizing comic timing and surprise. His eyes are wide with a humorous expression of frustration.

The Schnauzer, with wiry fur and wearing a light tan jacket over a navy shirt, stands on the grassy bank. He holds a red golf bag filled with clubs, looking on with shock and amusement at his companion’s shot. His mouth is open in surprise, and his eyes wide, adding to the humor.

The scene is set on a lush golf course with vivid green grass, trees in the distance, and calm blue water reflecting natural daylight. A golf ball is visible flying out of the sand trap, adding dynamic action.

At the top center, place clean, bold, elegant text reading:

“National Golf Lovers Day”

Digital fine art, painterly textures, ultra-realistic yet playful, no grain, no noise. Emphasis on bright colors, humorous expressions, and splash detail.

have a great weekend all xx

On their way to the Stanley Park Pitch & Putt course. They even had colored golf balls, to play in the snow...

Stormtrooper Bruce tries to have Movie Night every weekend so he and the guys can unwind and relax after their long and grueling weeks. Great movies and food are always anticipated - but sometimes the unexpected happens.

TK-432: Chewie, for the last time, please sit down. You’re blocking the tv!

TK-1110: We know you love your new Golfbag and clubs but Show & Tell was over hours ago.

STB: Chewie, if you sit down I’ll fix you your very own batch of wings with extra hot tongue torching sauce, and your very own cooler of brewskies.

Fett: Guys, you’re just wasting your breath. You know he wants to go down to the Shuttle Bay and hit some balls – extra points if he hits Vader’s ship.

Chewie: Geroikfdlf bleow! Feeflk crkdsk grkekndf gfio0ek beklfdrm!

STB: Yes, that sounds fun, too, but then we’ll all wind up in the brig for a month. Let’s just plan going to Tattooine this weekend, hit those balls out into the dessert, and then chillax at the Cantina.

Fett: What he says. I’ve even got a ton of space debris that you can use. It’ll be perfect!

Chewie: Speienf deobreoiss? Teposdj Toiwisjhd woeiinfs? Mdpo cpoeoien? Toiewoids grpgh Cantina?

STB: Absolutely – my treat, too. I pinkie swear! So is it a deal? You’ll sit down now?

"I don't believe in luck. Not in golf, anyway. There are good bounces and bad bounces, sure, but the ball is round and so is the hole. If you find yourself in a position where you hope for luck to pull you through, you're in serious trouble."

For when the going gets tough...

It may be Movie Night, but with the holidays just around the corner, Stormtrooper Bruce has come up with an idea to help the guys keep in shape considering all the yummy, fattening food headed their way over the next few weeks. STB hopes his plan to keep them healthy and active, disguised as something fun, will actually work.

STB: Guys, before you say anything just hear me out.

TK-432: Oh no, anytime someone says that it's gonna be bad. Very bad!

TK-1110: Vader starts off most of his missions like that, especially when asking for volunteers for a suicide mission.

STB: Well, gee, so much for not saying anything and hearing me out. So, as you can see, I'm holding a golf club. Stop rolling your eyes, I know that's what you're doing. Tonight I want us to have some fun!

TK-432: That doesn't look like fun. It looks like another attempt to get us exercising.

TK-1110: Yeah, we told you last time. We get a thorough work out all week long, all we want to do when we come here is relax.

STB: Guys! For the love of the Emperor, hear me out! Puh-lease!

TK-1110:

TK-432:

STB: OK. That's better. Tonight... before we start our movie and get to eating... I want us to go down to the landing bay and have some fun.

TK-432: I hate golf. Besides isn’t that Chewie’s?

STB: He keeps it in Fett’s storage, so I’m borrowing it. My cooler is crammed full of golf balls. Once we get to the landing bay, I want us each to see how far we can hit those balls. For every ship we hit, two points. Three if we hit the force field. Five points if you can get it through the door of the Vader‘s ship.

TK-1110: Kinda like skipping stones but with golf balls? I like it!

TK-432: You had me at five points for Vader's ship!

STB: That’s great! Team STB is about to go have some fun!

When collecting vintage photographs, I usually only purchase private shots from family albums, trying to avoid commercial photos altogether. I'm making an exception here, as this is definitely the work of a professional photographer. His name – Deryck M. Whittaker – is stamped on reverse. The image could possibly be a promotional shot for the Humber car company, or, more likely, a press photo from a motion picture.

2019P52 Week 24; What's in your bag?

I was stumped with this theme! I don't normally carry a bag. But as I was loading up my golf clubs for a round of golf this morning, it hit me! *slaps forehead*

I carry this bag 2-3 times a week.Usually just from the car to the golf cart, but it's the bag I cherish the most!

I was told Paul's interests are golf, oil painting and computers and as I had some unused and unopened green fondant from my previous golfing cake, I went down the golf course route again !

This time it had the addition of a lap top and an oil painting palette plus canvases round the back !

I'm not overly impressed with this pre-coloured green Regal Ice from Renshaws as it seems to craze and the colour looks variegated as it dries out. I usually find Renshaw's paste is excellent ..... maybe this was just a bad batch ...... :o((
