Mind if I take a little nap? You wake me when mama catches me a salmon, okie dokie?

Oh youth!

Last year, I got to the lavender fields too late. This year, too early. Maybe next year will be just right!

Went to VooDoo Larry's open house today with BFF's Brian and Liz. Had a really great time and took bunch of pics for first time this year. Here's one with no editing , hdr , just contrast adjusted in CS3.

No Goldilocks and no happy ending for the bears - cheese and onion flavour!

Mushrooms in Nunweek Park. I particularly like the curvature of the stalk, which I find combines with the (somewhat decayed) top to give a sense of a mop of hair on a graceful stalk. I have named 'her' Goldilocks for this reason, and because she is the middle-sized one in the bunch (not too tall, not too short).

I went for a more neutral base curve than I normally would to promote the overall softness, both to bring out the properties of the subject I was after, and also to mute the background. I was quite happy with the result and will have to try this more often. I probably tend to overdo the saturation and contrast a tad :)

Here is my second build for the ABS Builder Challenge round 2.5. The seed part is the golden binocular thing. I used the seed part 30 times in this build.

This all LEGO scene shows Goldilocks eating porridge. It was my first brick built figure attempt, and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Though my favorite part is the spoon. I hope you enjoy! Good luck to the other three of you!

Just right… To the benefit of life on this planet, Earth falls into a Goldilocks zone - which is the perfect distance from the Sun. Our planet is far enough away that it’s not scorched from the radiation and close enough that it’s not a frozen rock spinning in the darkness. This zone is something that scientists have been searching for around other distant stars. Perhaps if there is another planet out there with these “just right” characteristics, life could be thriving there too.

My friend's cat Frankie managed to squeeze herself into the smallest basket, with two larger ones available. But she seems to be thinking of trying the next one. Goldilocks?

My new rice cooker has a porridge setting. I never make porridge now - it always goes wrong. So I gave it a go. 60 minutes later and a decent offering results.

Made with 50:50 water:milk, and a few turns of salt. Finished with some honey and dusted with ground cinnamon.

As Goldilocks might have said, "just right."

From Wikipedia ~ The story makes extensive use of the literary rule of three, featuring three chairs, three bowls of porridge, three beds, and the three title characters who live in the house. There are also three sequences of the bears discovering in turn that someone has been eating from their porridge, sitting in their chairs, and finally, lying in their beds, at which point is the climax of Goldilocks being discovered.

One of the most beautiful hair i have ever come across.

Unfortunately, it was too dark in here for me successfully capture ANY of the Fairyland Caverns portion of Rock City. And that's too bad, because these things get really ornate, and the whole thing is huge.

This Goldilocks scene is one of several to see through a series of large windows in the side of the cavern. Each window is about three or four feet wide and covered with bars, and it looks into a room that runs 10 or 15 feet deep. Those adult bears in this image are maybe four feet tall ... and they look freaky. Narratively, this is all supposed to be a dream, but it's the stuff of nightmares.

Other similar rooms shows scenes from Cinderella or Snow White or the Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe. And then you go into a massive room in severe need of some sort of humidity control and orbit a giant scene maybe fifty feet wide, showing all sorts of different nursery rhyme scenes all at once. There's a fairy tale carriage climbing a hill toward a Cinderella castle, and Jack and Jill roll down that hill, and three blind mice tip-toe along the road. Humpty Dumpty sits on a wall awaiting disaster. Little Miss Muffet dines on her curds as spiders lurk. Every rhyme you remember is all acted out by these wooden figures in glowing phosphorescence.

It's probably best that I didn't get a good picture. You really have to see it.

But that's it for Rock City. Tomorrow, we'll wander around the rest of Lookout Mountain.

Three Plantain Tee's cut from the same size, but due to fabric choices three different fits.
