Water that moves the mill. The color of the shot is due to dust contamination from the Sahara (haze).

I just recently purchased a new camera. My husband has been encouraging me to buy this camera for years! A few weeks ago, I found a price I could not resist. I must say there are a LOT of buttons. After days of reading and watching videos, I decided it was time to test my knowledge. This shot has only been cropped with a small touch of saturation. The water was calm and reflected the tan building on the opposite side. As the ducks took to the water, I was focused on the lighting. I was so surprised at the colors and textures of the rippled water as the pair swam to the other side. I felt this would be a “Keeper shot”, which was confirmed when it popped up on my computer.
During the motif design a balloon accidentally drove from the left out of the morning mist in the direction of the Moselle.

The stones rest, unmoving, as time flows around them. The water, smooth as glass, mirrors the golden whispers of a distant town, stretching into the night like a dream unbroken. The sky, deep and endless, cradles faint trails of stars—silent witnesses to the slow breath of the lake. In this moment, all is still, yet the world keeps moving.

A grey and dank day. Then a burst of golden light, a new year, and ray of renewed hope for 2021. There's more than just light at the end of the tunnel, it has to be a better place!

In memory of my beloved brother Roberto (R.I.P), tragically taken away from me too soon, a few weeks ago.
Thank you for having been the most wonderful brother I could have ever wished for. The memory of you will be stronger than your silence and I will love you forever.
I would like to thank from the bottom of my grieving heart all those who have expressed their condolences and support during this really painful and difficult time for me. May God turn into happiness for you every single word of comfort and prayer that you have said for me. I am still not able to be active on Flickr as I cannot focus on commenting on your beautiful artworks yet, but I am trying my best to get my strength back.
Being unable to comment on your works, I am disabling commenting on this photo, as I am aware of the fact that some people might not find it easy to express themselves in sad circumstances and I do not wish to make you feel uncomfortable. I will show my appreciation for your work through faves during these days, with the promise that I will dedicate to your art all the attention that it deserves as soon as I can.
To all those who have taken the time to e-mail me and contact me: I am and I will be forever grateful.
You have made me understand that Flickr is not only a wonderful place to share art but also a virtual world where real feelings and sincere friendships bloom.
With all my love xx

Thank you to everyone who took the time to view, comment, and fave my photo. It’s really appreciated.
A couple of weeks ago, I decided to dedicate a whole day to photograph the lavish inflorescence of the cherry blossoms in St James' Park ( I will soon post some photos) as there are perhaps no other flowers that have the power of mesmerizing me for hours, as those pink, heavenly beautiful clouds of petals.
I tried various compositions and I was photographing the trees reflected on the water from the Blue bridge when I turned my face towards the opposite side of the bridge and I saw this spectacular golden cloud...The Horse Guards building and the London Eye were bathed in the glorious, warm pastel shades of the twilight. I changed my perspective and I took as many shots of this view as I possibly could. Some moments have to be crystallized forever...and shared...that's the magic of photography.
