June 12, 2007. Happy Tuesday!
Flickr doesn't seem to have enough flower shots so here's yet another one. ;-)

Couldn't resist dressing my girls in their brocade dream dresses. From Left to right:
Evening Gala,
Evening Splendour
Golden Charmer & Evening in Paris (coat)
Golden Charmer w/flounce
Let's Go Formal!
Golden Elegance
Golden Glory
Evening Splendour was the first that inspired all the rest. Mattel's jackets were fully lined, but Fab-lu only partially and the cuffs were a fine velvet--not fur like Mattel's
I didn't use the accessories, but I was fascinated by how much brocade was used! (My poor brunette bubblecut 's hair matches the background a little too well)

Vintage Royalton Fine China Translucent Porcelain Covered Butter Dish. This lovely dish could also be used as a cheese plate. Translucent Porcelain made by Royalton China Company in Japan. This is the Golden Elegance pattern. Very slight color loss around the rim of the plate. Marked on the bottom. Plate & lid otherwise in Great condition with no chips or cracks! Plate measures 6 1/2" across. Lid measures right at 5 1/2" across & stands 2 1/2" tall.
All three gowns use the same brocade, but I can only find evidence of two dresses (middle and right). There is nothing in the 'wardrobe book' to indicate that the dress was sold without a flounce--but the one on the left is almost too perfect for words and shows no signs of having had a flounce ripped off.
Perhaps in later versions they just omited the flounce.
From left to right:
Evening in Paris (coat) and Golden Charmer (without flounce)
Golden Charmer (with flounce)
Lets Go Fromal (should have a tulle stole)
In the hallowed echelons of a temple touched by the gods, she stands, a valkyrie whose armor gleams like the sun's own pride. Each piece a testament to the ancient craft, inlaid with gems that have captured the essence of the cerulean sky, her presence is as commanding as it is divine.
Her hair, a cascade of liquid gold, dances with the whispers of sacred winds, a living banner of her noble spirit. The air around her is thick with the dust of history, particles of the past that glitter in the shafts of light piercing the grand arches overhead.
She is an echo of the myths, a vision of power and beauty, the balance of the warrior's strength and the grace of a queen. Viewers, let her gaze meet yours and feel the weight of centuries, the stories of valor that linger in the silence of the temple. She is not just a figure of fantasy, but a call to the greatness that lies in our own hearts, a reminder of the golden potential we all carry within.
