It doesnt always matter how fast you get where you are going, but sometimes just that you get there...spent a long mornnig hiking to the top of the High Shoals Falls - took about twice as long as usual due to an injured leg, but still made it, and glad I did. The cool air and torrent coming over the falls were causing the air to condense and rain in place while I captured this image. #journey #perserverance #goforahike #explore #mountainwaterfall #waterfall #southmountainstatepark #highshoalsfalls

It is interesting to shoot a number of scenes in chronological order and then make a photo story.

It will be even more interesting if you shuffle the pictures and this could make a new storyline.

This is the shot without the hiker’s feet in the 30 Foot Pool in Lynn Canyon Park.

Would you prefer it to be opening of the ending of the story?

Happy Friday and weekend!

trust me, it was that fluffy.

There is all this criticism launched at users of social media for hiding the bad stuff and only showing the good, for lying about their lives. But we do this in our daily interactions IRL, too. We were taught from an early age that "no one likes a Debby Downer" and we don't want to make others uncomfortable with our honesty when the answer to 'how are you?' is 'actually, pretty awful.' So then, some turn to being cryptic, which is also criticized. Maybe, if we learned to be more compassionate and less critical, how to actually care and lend someone your ear and your time, people would feel safer being honest. Maybe? But it does show you who your real friends are, or who they should be.

A most perfect day for a hike at the Pheasant Branch Conversancy in Middleton, colors and smells of Spring were in full force.

I liked the way mother nature painted this light.

Playing around with a built-in ND filter on the X100v.

Hot springs in the neighborhood, not for public use.
