A calm morning on Unstad Beach

With fog predictions from the Met office all weekend I decided to head down to the Peak District to capture some late autumnal images. Woodland isn’t really my bag but just lately I’ve been immersing myself in forests and sticking it out. The colours, even now, are still so vibrant in places and the fog yesterday helped with photographing this scene at Padley Gorge.

Let me know your thoughts below, thanks for looking!

A pyramid-shaped mountain that is a lookout.

One of the beautiful attractions of the Black Desert is Pyramid Mountain, a relief form that shoot up from the ground much like a pyramids out of the desert. The mountain has symmetrical sides and a pointed peak.

This natural pyramid is just a few kilometers away from Bahariya Oasis. Locals call it Magic Mountain because of the way the light plays on the texture and material of the mountain during the different hours of the day. The golden colour of this rock is very attractive, especially in the later afternoon sun.

The Cardrona Bra Fence is a controversial tourist attraction in Central Otago, in New Zealand. At some point between 1998 and 1999, passers-by began to attach bras to a rural fence. The fence gradually became a well known site as the number of bras grew to hundreds

Tatana is one of the Amur tiger cubs at Colchester Zoo and it has been amazing to watch her and her 2 brothers grow. As always they are intensely inquisitive and always willing to strike a pose for the camera!

Archaic (II) is another image from Sunday’s woodland wander in the Peak District. I spotted this scene after I had packed my camera away and was on my way back to the car, interestingly I grabbed my phone for an Instagram stories image but was inspired by the incredible light and mist still lingering - it was time to set up the camera, again and I’m so glad I did.

After a considerable amount of time waiting, Luka emerged from behind the rock and plonked himself in full view of everyone. Quite content, sat peacefully staring at us.
