At least I'm guessing that's what the sign on the tree used to say, because this guy was most definitely not happy to see me, even though I was on a public/county road. (but it's nice that he was so concerned about my health).
Guess I was getting a little too close for comfort. In my defense, I didn't even know she was there until I came around a fence, so I just took the shot and walked away.

Went for a brief outing for a change of scenery this past weekend at a nearby arboretum.
We encountered this little green Anole lizard hiding in the brush near the food bridge, but when I stopped to get a few shots it turned brown and flashed that dewlap - warning me to move along. So I did.

Just after I snuck up on our resident cardinal hiding in the Rose Of Sharon bush to grab a shot, he spotted me and flew up onto the neighbors roof. A moment later, he stretched out over the edge to eyeball me as if to say, "are you still there? Go away!" I guess that's understandable when molting and don't look your best.

Am 12. Dezember 2020 war es mal wieder soweit. Es stand der Fahrplanwechsel bevor und das gewohnte Alltagsbild sollte nicht mehr das sein, was man Jahre/Monate lang gewohnt war.
Dieses mal traf es u.a. DB Regio Württemberg. Diese mussten die IRE 8 Leistungen auf der Frankenbahn an GoAhead zurückgeben, nachdem DB Regio im März als Aushilfe bei GoAway eingesprungen ist. Seit dem 13.12.20 sind die Einsätze der Stuttgarter 147 beendet und somit auch eine Baureihe, die die Frankenbahn für mich stark geprägt hat.
Anfangs noch mit der berühmten n-Wagen/TRAXX3 Kombi, später dann mit Doppelstockwagen waren die Lokomotiven der Baureihe 147 ein immer gern gesehener Gast auf der landschaftlich wunderschönen Frankenbahn. Leider werden diese Hochwertigen Garnituren durch die im abscheulichen Bwegt Design befindlichen Flirt3 Baureihen ersetzt, sofern diese auch mal fahren ;-).
Somit sind nun auch die letzten drei 147er aus Stuttgart arbeitslos und werden die Tage nach Berlin überführt.
Passend zum traurigen Anlass wurden in den zwei IRE 8 Garnituren Schilder passend zum Abschied aufgehangen und die Garnitur mit 147 003 wurde sogar mit Schmuck verziert.
Hier zu sehen ist 147 001, die gegen 7.30 Uhr mit IRE 16648 in Bietigheim auf die Abfahrt gen Würzburg wartet.
Als Abschiedsereignis war im rechten Fenster ein Schild von DB Regio zum bevorstehenden Abtreten angebracht.
Machts gut 147 und vielen Dank an alle, die dieses Ereignis möglich gemacht haben!
This birds has its name, for its "Song" sounds off like "Go Away! Go Away!" It's the call you are greeted with every morning and night, regardless on whether you are coming or going ;)

A male Booted Racket-tail hummingbird adopts its aggressive pose! Skirmishes between the males (and any other hummingbirds) went on all day around the feeders!

Aufgrund andauernder Unzuverlässigkeit der neuen Betreiber der Stuttgart Netzte wurde vom Land Baden Württemberg im Jahre 2020 unter anderem auch auf der Frankenbahn bei DB Regio ein Ersatzverkehr bestellt, um Go Away äh Go Ahead zwischen Stuttgart und Würzburg zu entlasten. Zu diesem Zweck blieben 147 001 bis 003 in Stuttgart, letztere war mit IRE 16649 am 21. August 2020 bei Besigheim unterwegs.
Not much has to be said about this particularly iridescent, colourful starling that is frequently seen all over East Africa - flashes of blue in the sunlight, a startling, fiery ray upon its chest, and a clear, varied chirpy song make this bird a frequent pleasure to see.
They are a long-lived bird, that can live up to 15 years in captivity.
