A giant leap for a Springer Spaniel in the Columbia River Gorge, Oregon

Black and white remix of the original. I dodged her hair to bring it out more. The henna paste was still drying but we just rolled with it.

I don't like to wait for people to pose. I just shoot... I think I'm the same way with any opportunity. It is not in my nature to not go for it; sometimes this gets me in trouble but I am the way I am...

Akilah patting her tummy... So I just shot. Worked out OK...

SB800 into 46" umbrella camera right. Not sure about the power setting.

The image for this postcard comes from a modified photo of my own.

She hates this shirt. She balled it up and was going to toss in in the garbage as we were on our way back to the car but I took it.

One of the first pictures from my first shoot almost one year ago. This was my first try at portraits. I can't believe it's only been a year. It feels like two years or more. God... I've taken a lot of photos this year...

The ladies of Team Brainnovation recently spent a fun day at Aventura Park, Dubai!

We challenged ourselves to take on some of the daunting obstacles and zip lines which pushed us to the limits of what we thought we were capable of.

Facing our fears, each one of us learned that positive self-talk and goal-oriented thinking helped us overcome our hesitation and achieve our targets.

This day showed us the importance of having a strong support system- at work, at home and even at school. Many of us would’ve given up halfway through an obstacle had it not been for our teammates cheering us on! At Brainnovation, we aim to build this support system for each of our Strivers and their families.

We are here to boost your cognitive skills, support you and cheer you on as you strive to unlock your potential! Visit us today at brainnovation.ae/

A shot that I recently revisited and treated in Adobe Lightroom 2.0

This was shot out doors on the lakefront in Chicago. The light is a combination of natural light and me holding an SB800 in my left hand (wireless) while shooting. If I remember correctly in this shot I held the flash straight up above the camera at arms length.

A flawed photo but I dug the photo enough to share it.

My very good friend who I will call T to keep her identity secret! :-)

I'm still digesting the images from the shoot but I think this is my favorite so far.

This was a sleeper in the set for me. I have one natural light version and one using a flash. Couldn't decide which one I liked for a while. Natural light won this time.

Formerly titled Akilah-109. There is something to be said about how powerful she looks in this shot. But I can't find just the right words yet.

A young soccer player from FK Rajec in a white and blue uniform controls the ball while an opponent from FC Juventus Žilina, wearing black and white stripes, closely watches, ready to challenge for possession. This captivating moment was captured during a 2017 youth soccer match between FK Rajec and FC Juventus Žilina in Slovakia, highlighting the dedication and passion of young athletes on the field.

Her makeup always rocks...

This is probably my favorite from the set.

Vaiva

Strobist info... R1 Flashes on the end of the lens and 2 SB800s camera left and right. One with a red gel insert and the other with a blue gel insert. I can't remember if i used the bare flash, flash through diffuser or the translucent umbrellas for this one.

One of my favorites from the shoot.

Reverse mirror photo. Light source is an SB800 into a 46" translucent umbrella.

Every time I see this photo I think "N__ga, listen and listen good because I'm only going to say this once..." She looks like she's going to lay some heavy sh$t on you. If Samuel Jackson's character from Pulp Fiction had a daughter I'd imagine her being something like this.

One of two of my photos that made it to Explore on July 22nd, 2007

Vaiva outside the South Shore Cultural center in Chicago.

Strobist info: R1 macro flash on the ground just outside of the frame (left) and a SB800 shot into a 46" translucent umbrella camera left raised to about 6 feet.

One of my favorites from the shoot.
