Driving home tonight, sky was looking good. Headed for a quick access beach along with dog walkers, other photographers and practically an entire football team. Needless to say, virgin sand was at a premium!

I haven't gotten pervy in a while so it seemed overdue. Caerolle Claudel was gracious enough to assist. I really had to twist her arm though. ;p
I'm pretty disappointed in myself, however, in that I somehow managed to take the shot and get through the editing phase without realizing I had taken it in a MUCH lower resolution than usual...
I didn't have the heart to do it all again from scratch, but I'm pleased enough with the results I thought I'd share anyway.
One of Connecticut's covered bridges in Devil's Hopyard State Park. Beautiful place. Looking forward to going back in the Spring.
Not a great shot, lots of atmosphere distortion, but who cares. The Eagles have to win today. Two is better then one.

the dog would go out pretty far to fetch the tennis ball and then ride the waves back in.. It was so fun to watch..
A female hummingbird going vertical to get that downward-facing flower. Amazing to watch as they approach flowers from any and all angles.
Nervous Tawny Emperor butterfly brimming with energy and looking to escape interference for me.
Found wherever its food plant, the Hackberry, is found. Considered rare due to its one flight per year and narrow habitat demands.

Shirakawa-go (Shirakawa Village) is a Japanese mountain settlement in what was once considered a wild and unexplored region. Because of the area’s natural environment, with high mountains and heavy snowfall, interaction with neighboring regions was limited. However, this also created the conditions for the development of unique cultural practices and lifestyles. Now registered as a World Cultural Heritage site.

This was the evening of wonderful sunset shots, and you can tell it was going to be special. This wonderful dark cloud contrasted with the sun drenched limestone cliffs welcoming me back home after Sussex! I almost wanted to rush down, but as John Martyn sang, Go down easy, timely advice, and an amazing piece of work!
