Took this spectacular image today, using different lighting techniques at various positions. This image to me really shows the beauty of the Amaryllis flower with it's glowing inner light. Hope Y'all love it as much as I do.? Lol: Gaston (aka Gasssman).

At this evening in February at a small lake, I was presented with an amazing sunset. The last light made the ice on the lake and the forest almost burn. Though this photo were processed, there is neither saturation nor enhanced vibrance!

Lighted with a small LED torch. For the Macro Mondays Theme: fruit.

The Water Lilies live in water because they evolved adaptations, special characteristics or traits, to allow them to survive in that environment, such as weak stems, flat, broad leaves with stomata on their upper surface and bowl shaped flowers. Beautiful color this lily has on the inside. I saw this lily when I was walking in the park.

Happy Bench Monday

I used the Glowing Edges Filter on this image - so diff from the original which I will post too, for those of you who would like to see the original! HSoS

Editing and compositing some old photos. Did this with Snapseed and photos from my Samsung camera phone.

Summer has finally arrived and with the longer days of glazing sunlight we prepare for vacation and time with family and friends. This year feels different though because suddenly we cannot travel far distances, see our relatives and worst of all not even plan for tomorrow.

Despite this I hope and wish that this Summer will work miracles . Let's heal ourselves with dreams of a better future where love can cure anything.

I feel optimistic despite my fears of the unknown.

Piping Plover chicks are the darn cutest little things imaginable. It was a joy to photograph them last June. In this image, I shot into the setting sun to create a golden backlit scene, which is a technique I have been experimenting with recently.

She too was enjoying the sun.

Designated in 1919, Zion is Utah's oldest National Park. The park is known for its incredible canyons and spectacular views.

We followed the paths where ancient native people and pioneers walked. Gazed up at massive sandstone cliffs of cream, pink, and red that soar into a brilliant blue sky. We experienced the wilderness of Zion’s dramatic landscapes.

Breathtaking Zion Canyon is the centerpiece of this 147,000-acre parkland that protects a spectacular landscape of high plateaus, sheer canyons, and monolithic cliffs.

Sunrise in the Westruper Heide, Germany. The first, gentle sunbeams break through the fine fog. What a wonderful spectacle.

Not so many mushrooms left in my forest, this one was pretty worn out of the hard life in the forest.

The light is there, to take it safely home 🙏.

Its hard to not let the darkness effect my mood and energy this time of year.Now in December the days are shorter and the dark hours longer.

I take extra d-vitamine, fruits and berries just to maintain my strength, especially since both my body and soul wants to sleep and wake up when the light is lurking behind the clouds.

Despite this, I wanted to share some light and spread it with all my FLICKR friends.

Let the light enter ......

It was another rather grey autumn morning but occasionally a sunbeam found its way through the clouds and suddenly the world looked so much brighter. This dahlia really started to glow.
