Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway is a volunteer operated heritage railway in Gloucestershire and Worcestershire offering a round trip of 28 miles. It uses part of the route of the former Great Western Railway's main line from Birmingham to Cheltenham which used to run via Stratford-upon-Avon.
Across the lane from Hailes Abbey in Gloucestershire is Hailes Church, a small country chapel that predates its more famous neighbour by a half-century. The small Norman church stands on the edge of a farm field, directly opposite the ruins of the Cistercian abbey. Hailes Church was begun around 1135 and is famous for its wonderful collection of medieval wall paintings.

The trip was for the Victorian Christmas Market, I had a quick look round, they did have some nice stalls there. Sunday 12th November.

I took this photo when we were staying in Slad, which is a small village 2 miles (3.2km) from Stroud in Gloucestershire.
This is the village where the author Laurie Lee grew up as a child, and where he came back to live in later life with his wife.

Tewkesbury Abbey is located in the town of Tewkesbury in the English county of Gloucestershire. The town sits on the confluence of the River Avon and the River Severn and is located 10 miles north from the city of Gloucester.
A former Benedictine monastery, the abbey is now a parish church and is considered one of the finest examples of Norman architecture in Britain, it is claimed to has "probably the largest and finest Romanesque" crossing tower in England.

I posted this some time back saying I had tried the Orton Effect and didn't entirely like the results... too saturated for me. So, I tried this pic which was not quite in focus to do my own thing in PS.
