Sunset on the beach at Wells Next The Sea

August 15, 2007. Color is all around us in our everyday lives. At times, we forget to stop, look and enjoy.

The color palette in nature is perfection I can never hope to improve. Only to strive and make the humble attempt to photograph what nature has put before me.

Have a good day! :)

Today is a gloomy and rainy day in Pittsburgh, so I will just have to imagine sipping a lovely Prosecco while watching a glorious pastel sunset!!

Glaskogen nature reservation in Arvika Sweden.

Another glorious winter sunset in late December on the Saanich farm. What a wonderful show to lighten up the dreary wintry rainy weather.

Vancouver Island’s seasonal rainy weather in winter transforms what once was a farm field into waterfront, bringing with it glorious sunsets with awesome reflections as well as a bounty of Nature...Canada Geese, ducks, gulls and Trumpeter Swans.

We had record high temps as half the country does.. The day ended with a glorious sunset and bright beautiful sunbeams .

Thanks so much to everyone for your visits and kind and encouraging comments. I really appreciate them and you! ; )

The setting sun hid behind St. Nicholas’s chapel whose most prominent feature is the lofty, cross-shaped bell tower. Silhouettes of human figures are discerned outside, enjoying the idyllic view of the bay. The cloud-laden skies’ dominant colour is golden.

The chapel is located on St. Nicholas’s pier in Thessalonikē, Greece, where sailing ships are docked (Nautical Club).

Photograph reminiscent of William Blake’s poem lines:

“I saw a chapel all of gold

That none did dare to enter in…”

Looking up the River Tyne as a glorious sunset provides a spectacular end to the day.

Tonight's sunset and clouds became so much more as the sun went down ...

Un momento especial. Dicen que en ese memento justo se veía la aurora boreal desde Granada. Yo vi el cielo rojo también.

Another photo from Pantai Robina, Penang which taken a bit later on the same day. I found a nice texture of sand forming into some kind of shape on the foreground, which is the main part of composition in this photo. Subhana'Allah, Thank you الله‎ for giving me another opportunity to see this amazing moment.

It was a satisfaction for me, when getting a shot like this and I manage to enjoy the beautiful view for a while.

Last week a long bike ride (101 km)

ended with a spectacular sunset.

That was a big bonus...

I dedicate this image to my girlfriend Xusa.

This time I´ve combined my LEE filter GND (3 stops) with a Hitech GND Reverse filter (2 stops). Using simultaneously both filters magnify the red dominant of the scene, but I´ve made use of this situation to make more powerful the colours of the dusk.

This dramatic sunset was taken on the A30 near Dummer / North Waltham near Basingstoke, Hampshire, England. I was travelling in my car with my family and just managed to find somewhere to park in time to capture the last dying rays of this magnificent sunset. Thank goodness I had my camera with me!

An entrancing sight, which appeared to develop from nowhere very quickly!

This photograph doesn't really do it justice though ... it seemed all-encompassing at the time!
