One of the most important things from my camera gear is my lens air blower. I love to travel a lot and I get a lot of dirt on my lens all the time, so I always bring this with me. (without the glitters of course:)
It was very difficult to get this image, I had to blow the air and make a picture at the same time. I'll soon show you how it's done in my blog.
Please note that this photo is licensed on Getty Images, therefore NO LONGER a free texture.
Now showing on Endless.com Dec 09 ... woo hoo!
Inspired by Antonio Iacobell's work, I played with compositing some closeup shots of a paint brushed with different coloured glitter. Used a Miops trigger on sound with slight delay to allow the glitter to move. 2 Godox flashes from sides triggering when the paintbrush hits an edge. As the metal end of the brush was black, I left some of the residual light (non-flash) against the background to provide some depth of field/context

A lil bit of sliding went on so ....HSS :)
Extremely shallow DOF goin on with this shot. This was my first time doing macros with glitter. Interesting how it turned out. So beautiful!
I love when Mother Nature decks herself in glitter... I really do! No Grand Canyon. No Himalayas. No Alps. And no amazing sunset. Just... mother nature in glitter. :-D

I have never been this held up at work for so long that I have hardly stepped out with my camera...so all I end up doing is applying for my vacation and then keep cancelling it either coz the work has consumed my time that I am not able to plan for it or the weather here ruins any hopes of getting some decent shoots done.
Anyway, I have set up my macbook completely and have gotten used to it now :) Gotta admit I love the macbook and its intuitiveness..so I have started going through my archives from my shoots last year. This one was shot at the Holywell Bay in Cornwall. As I have been raving for quite a bit, Cornwall has some of the best beaches I have ever seen!
I always love the glitter of the rocks during the dying hours of the evening or the wee hours of the morning. The light and the reflections from rocks are so beautiful that you lose yourself musing over it rather than getting some decent shots. This was one rare instance where I did try to do both and came out alright.
If you want to achieve the saturation and the exposure levels, you can try using a combination of filters or do them over in photoshop. I prefer the former as I love experimenting with the filters I have and have not yet fully mastered the usage of all of my filters.
Anyway, thanks for viewing and have a nice day everyone!
