Shot for Macro Mondays 'Vibrant Minimalist' theme, which I found harder than I thought to get an image I felt was right! I could do the vibrant bit, but felt not so confident on the minimal part (so hard to call what is 'minimal enough'). I spent ages trying to find a composition that worked and in the end my 'last minute' shots turned out to be the ones I most preferred.

Also adding this to a new group called Minimalist Macro (great idea Janet!) which sounds like it is going to be a new challenge and lots of fun.

It snowed most of the day, but it was a warm, wet snow that covered the ground with white while turning to glittery drops on the branches.

I did play with the tones of this one in post processing -- just tones, no texture. I'm using the trial version of Nik Silver Efex -- I love it, and I want it so badly! I can't afford it though. Expect more b&w or desaturated photos in the next week, while the trial lasts. I also applied a free action I just downloaded -- Nelly Nero's seaweed. I adjusted it quite a bit though to fit the photo.

from today's client shoot with my lovely talya! she wanted to play around with glitter. (and to be quite honest i've always wanted to try this out, heh) alas, it was overcast today :|

took a break from college applications and took photos for talya's human behavior project. (i took some photos for tyler last year, the courage shots? the ones i started out my 52 weeks with i think.....damn how time has past)

her theme was bliss, so we used flowers/glitter/berries/blankets.

This was a morning after one of our many snowstorms. It was a beautiful sunny morning, I was just coming up the hill through the woods and a gust of wind came up and blew the snow all around. It was so beautiful and glittery.

Glitter Girls

I hate soccer so I thought it would be a nice time to shoot some selfies! (Right now my country is still in the race for the world cup! Right? or are they finished? I don't know.. honestly haha)

I went outside, and it was so weird: it was still light but there was NO ONE to be seen: freaky! But also really peaceful and nice :)

Anyway, I poured a box of glitter on me on accident so I was very glad there wasn't anybody on the street, as I had to bike home looking like a monster full of glitter.

I shot this one when I got home (and realized there was TONS of glitter in my hair as well) and I think I like this one the best, haha!

Oh well XD
